A vote for then next hero being Female Shepherd and Liara's kid.

Even though she's 100% asari just like any other, she loves and reveres the legacy of her "father". She is proud of her heritage and stands to fight and defend both human and asari alike.

Heroic, no? Maybe. I just want to play something besides another stupid human for once.

Either that or an apathetic Krogan traveling the galexy in search of the meaning of life.

Either Shep being canonized is bleh and Liara romance being canonized (or her stealing Shep's genetic material) is ick of the highest order.

Would never happen for just the above reasons. Everyones idea of who Shepard is and what happened in "their" story is different. This is exactly the reason any Mass Effect movie trying to involve Shepard would fail terribly.

One of the main draws of the Mass Effect series is their is no canon storyline. You make your own and it can actually continue from game to game.

While one of my Shepards is with Liara ... Piers Shepard with Ash would not appreciate forcing his legacy to include an asari child with Liara who was just his friend.

In future games I'm hoping that they give you an option to choose your species along with gender, etc. The option to play as human, asari, krogan, salarian, etc ... that would be so much better than locked in as one species ... at least I think so.

As for me ... in all the games where you can play as a non-human as well, I still choose human.

I wouldn't want to play Shep's kid even if Shep was in a romance with Liara. Playing children of previous PCs always seems sort of lame to me.

(And Shep would prefer it if her kid didn't spend her time getting shot at)

I like Liara but forcing her down as the canon LI and main story for ME4(if there is one) would be offensive. Then all the Liara hate threads will Triple and cause soooo much hell

No, shepard doesn´t need some asari leeching for his/her human dna. Asari can and will destroy or subjugate humanity if they are allowed to continue their assimilation of our species.

I think everyone else has pretty much summed it up but, no.

Also I find the idea of playing as a previous protagonist's child to be the worst idea possible for a future protagonist. It's like asking to play as the annoying kid sidekick from any saturday morning cartoon which included one.

I like the idea but you got a point.. I can't stand Liara with maleshepard as it is and it'd be hell...
