Any Mass Effect MMO, I'm out. I play it for story and characters, and that's it really, much as I do enjoy the running around and shooting at anything that moves, or drivinng the Mako in Mass1. I've got zero interest in any MMO anymore for as far as I can see.

Actually we do know, Casey said it himself : if there had to be a next mass effect, it would be a prequel. ME3 is the last chapter of the chronology

Yeah, I'm not much interested in any prequels either. :-( All I can do is hope they change their minds and see the better alternatives out there.

No.

Liara is one of my favorite characters in the series but I don't think the next protagonist should be her descendant. Or any other character's descendant for that matter. Outside of a fantasy setting I'm against establishing 'hero dynasties' in the lore.

NO NO NO to the canonisation of the Shepard/Liara romance

Not all of us get a boner where Liara is concerned, if the next hero is a Shep/Liara kid, guess what? I won't be buying the game and it's highly probably that a lot of the people who had a non-Shep/Liara romance won't buy it either.

If I want to play as the relative of a canon alien character, I'd much rather play as the relative of someone like Wrex not an Asari. You say you don't want to play as a human yet you want to play as the race that are little more than blue humans?

Has it ever been established if an Asari in the "maiden stage" of her life can even have children? I thought they didn't become fertile until their "matron stage" which is still several hundred years away.

Besides, everyone knows that ME4 should star Legion 2.0...

Just for YOU, Ryzaki.

Didn't BW retcon that and say that an Asari can enter the matron stage early?

No offense, but your idea is as bad as the OP's.

I don't think there should be any hero dynasties, at all. It is a big universe. Lets meet some new characters who are wholly unrelated to people we've already met.

It depends on how you view her gift session if your jumping around over it its great if you think she mined you for your dna code and did it behind your back you won't feel as happy about this child. I'd say no there are enough people having difficulty with the implications of what she may have done w/o fully explaining to shep what she was doing.

i really hope they do something other then a prequel , my current mindset is the mass effect universe went to sh*t after the events of mass effect 3 so i don't want to waste my time in the past thinking the future of it just goes to hell

Codex says give or take 350 years of age, but that it can be earlier if an individual 'melds frequently'. I get the impression from the game that some asari in the maiden stage 'meld', if we're calling it that, like rabbits so I'd guess they mean meld with the same partner a lot. Not sure this is all that different to falling in love young and getting married and having kids in your late teens or early 20s, though of course humans are biologically ready at a much younger age and it's more social and economic reasons we don't all have kids young. Asari could be quite different and not simply blue humans so Liara wouldn't even be physically capable of having a child yet, or maybe she could depending on how much horizontal personal time she and Shep have been getting when Shep's not been busy (a) fighting Geth/Reapers/Collectors/Cerberus and (B) being dead.

You can probably headcanon it either way you want to TBH. But if it was the basis of a fourth game....   I'd rather remember the good times, i.e. mostly everything up to Arrival.;)

The only good thing about this idea is that it would establish that your squad managed to find their way off the jungle planet. Every other aspect of it is simply awful.

This is why i like Tali so much, no possibility of kids.
As others have said "Hero Dynasties" are for fantasy games.

I honestly hope that there isnt another Mass Effect game, one set after ME3 would be forced to canonize or make irrelevant a lot of choices we made, depending on the timeline.
One set before would just be hard pressed to come up with a story that felt like it mattered.
And an mmo, is just laughable. Bioware /EA already have their sci-fi mmo, it called ToR.

It's in the ME1 codex on Asari so it was established from the beginning. Definitely not a retcon.

Also there is this LotSB-dialogue between Shepard and Liara where Shepard can mention a lot of little blue children with Liara and her reaction indicates that it is possible, she whould react differently if it was impossible.

So its possible, but there are plenty of reasons why BW may not do something like this.

Liara hints that she may be pregnant if you were loyal to her, and talked about kids in Lotsb.

ONLY then does Liara mentions little blue children.

Liara:' I don't know what to say.'

Liara:'All those little blue children will be dissappointed that I didn't have a speech'

Shepard:' We'll make up a good story for them'

This only happens if you.

-Romanced Liara in ME1.
-Loyal to her in ME2.
-Did LOTSB and talked about having kids.

So yes Liara can get pregnant.

Liara was talking about a hypothetical future where they'd both have children, while making reference to a line of dialogue Shepard may have said to Liara during Lair of the Shadow Broker. She wasn't saying she was pregnant.
