Looks like the Western Approaches. o.O

It IS the Western Approach. I hope they improve the rendering for the final game a lot so it doesn't look like ME:Inquisition. Also, there's a weird clay-like tint in the edges of all the andromeda graphics I've seen so far. It looks worse than ME3, artistically.

Omg.

No wonder they've been keeping things under wraps.

They release a hi-rez pic of the Mako and everyone is putting in their critical two cents in. Over a picture.

I love everyone, and I enjoy this forum, but wow.

Some of you guys make me sick.

Can't we all just be happy and excited together?

Games beyond 2017? More anticipation? More teasing?

I'm still thinking we/they are going to need a nuclear bunker for the post-12th timeframe.

Front left side of the Mako has a flat tire. Geometry is wrong as the vehicle ought to lean towards the flat tire. If not flat, the geometry is still wrong.  The tire is deeper into the sand than the other ones, ergo front of the Mako must lean towards its side. Yes, the Mako is on an incline. However, personal experience tells me I'm right.

The artist is good but his geometry isn't.

PS: I bet that the game, when exploring with the Mako, won't allow us to change the camera view to get a similar picture. Ergo, it's concept art. Concept art, as in DA:I's busts of the dwarves with those beautiful beards, never made it into the game. I expect similarities between DA:I and ME:A's concept art and representative video trailers that never make it into the game. Ergo, it's marketing hype. Beautiful pic though.

I'm going back into the HOI 4 trenches.

more weight in the back. geometry is fine. front right tire (not the left from the mako perspective) is nowhere near enough deep into the sand to pull the rest of the weight in that direction, especially with, i imagine, the mako's suspension and weight distribution system.

otherwise, i dislike this picture

in other news, i like how everyone is only just shouting "western approaches." its like ppl didnt see the reveal trailer where they showed the different landscapes including that desert world.

No wonder why the developers never post on this forum. People are freaking out because of the Mako's pic.

Must be heart breaking to open the forum of your game and only read people complaining about something they never saw.

Most people are totally fine with that very old pic. Unfortunately, few individuals, or even one, can have very negative effects on a forum. I remember sometime ago when there were some blurry pictures a developer posted the reaction was very positive.

There should be a forum for negative nancies to complain and "critique" the reveals/hype/marketing.  You know, show the world how they're badasses for being burnt too many times by marketing and how much smarter they are for being cynics and how critical they can be.

Then there should be a reveal thread or twitter thread for all of us that drool over anything and totally buy into the reveals and get excited.

But I totally get why bioware doesn't post on their own forum anymore.  I always used to wonder why, but now it's making more and more sense.  Especially since I stopped coming here daily to read the responses.  I come back, and it's the same people crapping in everyone's wheaties.

At least you don't have to come here for EA play!  Wooo!

Hey people! Should we make a new thread to discuss the conference or should we use Hrungr's new thread? It would be nice to have a place to talk about what we will see on Andromeda's presentation at EA Play.

Let's get this party started!

I only hope mako will be a small addition to ME:A instead of playing hours and hours on it. I don't believe Mass Effect is known for the Mako at all and the experiences with it weren't too fun actually. So even if they did actually transformed the whole mako experience into something new and exciting, i'd rather prefer to play the game the way it was and keep the vehicles as what it is: vehicles, not gameplay basis.

The only exception maybe would be the normandy, which has a lot of interaction with the gameplay since you basically lives on it and goes to each and every mission using it, but it was never about the normandy and the experience driving it or how cool it looks....its just....a ship.

I hate the Western Approach.

I just hope the interpersonal relationships and the plot and the drama supercede the environmental art as what happened in DA2.
