our decision, because we are only releasing in early 2017. This felt too soon for the heavy artillery
Called it.
And I called it wrong. Good call Sartoz

There are 3 Arc ships on the trailer.
Could mean the each race might have multiple ark ships
Man, how are they going to explain all this?

true but the way the tweets were going, i interpreted it as them having more to show us. that is my fault and i dont blame them in anyway.
Wow. Two E3s with no Mass Effect gameplay. Guess it's fair to say production is not going well.
Former Lead Animator on ME1 and ME2.

Guess, then, the "extra time to polish the game" is horse manure?
What would, according from your experience, be some reasons?

They might have problems. Just because a former member/lead of the team said they have trouble, they have to be in trouble.
Though I do think that showing a bit more, as well as opening the site with more info, would've helped to calm some fears.

it is an interesting quote. could also just be salt on his part as he's no longer working on the ME games. idk.

Former Lead Animator on ME1 and ME2.
FWIW what WAS shown looked amazing. That Asari face... Don't envy the task of an RPG-amount of facial animation this generation of consoles.
Andromeda Animation Director Carl Boulay is a technical and artistic savant though. If anyone can do it he can.
He also said this. In any case he's not at Bioware anymore. He's speculating like the rest of us.

This sounds like butthurt to me.
Bioware is doing the same thing Bethesda did with Fallout 4, avoid showing to much until they are close to the release date.

Do we know why he left in the first place? I imagine it was of his own accord, considering Mass Effect 1 and 2 were acclaimed for their innovation in animation work.

Except he's a developer who knows a hell of a lot more than most of we do in how productions work... and was a developer in that very same company. So when he says "it's safe to say," he means it's "safe to say."
Defend when defensible, but only give credit where credit's due, I say.

Doesn't make what he says any less speculation

Except he doesn't say it's "safe to say" he says "Guess it's fair to say". That's a whole lot more vague than what you (erroneously) quoted. And those two follow-up tweets sure look like backtracking to me.

There is a difference between informed conclusions and a fan's speculation. He isn't some lay fan.

Alright. You got me.
Fair versus safe.
Look, I love Bioware. And I have hope they will deliver. But suddenly attacked this guy, saying he's butthurt, or that he's not qualified to make a fair opinion on what's happening is completely unfounded.

Saying that someone is speculating is attacking them now?
Saying that someone is speculating is attacking them now?
People literally saying he's bitter and butthurt, and then completely dismissing his speculation as completely equivalent to some fans' speculation on some random forums - which is what I said.
Saying that someone is speculating is attacking them now?
well that first quote does sound like he's throwing them under the bus, and the 2nd and 3rd sounds like he's backtracking on it now. but why throw the company you once worked for, under the bus?
