Gamers can be scary.

comparing a death threat to a court proceeding?
is a court proceeding not a civil procedure? i dont need beat a dead horse, but it hardly makes you a monster for doing what you think is right *by pursuing legal action*

E3 2016: Your Mass Effect 3 Ending Won't Affect Mass Effect: Andromeda

" I think, aside from the fact that we said the Mass Effect trilogy was a trilogy for Shepard’s story, which we have concluded, we were very careful to make sure that big choices like that [the Mass Effect 3 finale] wouldn’t impact your decisions.
"From that, you can probably infer the timing of when they [the Andromeda explorers] left, to a certain degree."
Here's the interview with Mac:
I have to say Mac is looking pretty handsome ![]()

KNEW. IT.
Just watched Sony's conference.
God of War, a game we didn't know existed? We've got gameplay!
Horizon: Zero Dawn, same release frame as MEA? Gameplay!
Days Gone, another one we didn't know existed? Yup, gameplay!
From the last time we had some info (n7 day) to this e3, Kojima had time leave Konami, decide whatever the hell he was doing and make a trailer of it! (Something no one could realistically expect would happen in less than, idk, 8 years)
Mass Effect: Andromeda? "Hey, #space! We can't wait to show you more whenever".
WHY, BIOWER?

Well, I have my guess... time will tell if I'm right or not.
I don't know if this has been posted already, but Craigory95 and Shootandrun from the ME subreddit translated this French E3 interview with Mac Yanick Roy. A lot of it is vague marketing talk and the translation may be a bit confusing at points but hey, it's a little something more
Are you going to keep quests with several conversation options?
Yes, the devs intend to give everyone the possibility to play the game as they wish.
Are you worried you'll lose part of the public by abandoning the character of Commander Shepard?
No; the game is a new adventure, Shepard's story was done, and it would be stretching the story (hard to translate; overreaching?) to keep going with the same character. They did wish to ensure all of the elements that were loved about the first games will return; here, the dev mentions relationships with characters, races, powers, and combat
Can you talk about gestion of companions? Will there be, as in previous episodes, quests linked to their loyalty?
"Absolutely." The dev mentions that they know these elements were very important to fans.
Have you planned a multiplayer mode, and can you talk about it?
It will be very similar to Mass Effect 3, with additional elements of freedom during combat (as with singleplayer combat). The goal is to make combat more dynamic and to add more "chaos" thanks to Frostbyte.
Will there be ship customization?
Vague answer; it is important to the devs that the player may 'own' their environments by customizing them, but it is ambiguous whether or not this will only be cosmetic
Do you know how many planets will be in the game's final version? Can you about them to us?
"In terms of game size, it's our biggest yet" (ambiguous if they mean just for ME or for Bioware in general). Environments will be inspired by what they tried to do in ME1. Planets will generally have only one biome, inspired by things like Star Wars.
What about the strategic or diplomatic aspect with the different races of the galaxy?
The same tools that were previously available in Mass Effect (conversation, combat) will be available to influence these things, and it will be tied into the exploration aspect; "the order in which things are done will also have an influence". Seems to imply Inquisition's war table system won't be around.
We've seen a female human at the end of the trailer. Will it be possible to choose the race and sex of our hero?
Very interesting here, so I'll translate the whole answer word for word: "Well, ultimately Mass Effect was always about humanity's place in the galaxy. This remains at the center of Mass Effect: Andromeda; yes, having more defined characters allows us to have a story which might be more refined on that front, but as I was saying, since we still have this notion of freedom, without going into details, we're trying to give a little bit more."
What will be the role of our hero in the galaxy? Will we be a soldier, an archaeologist, an explorer?
The role will be "vast" with a versatile character. The hero's goal is to find a "new home for humanity and the races accompanying you" and this kind of environment requires a character with many qualities.
Will we have more information on the race of the Protheans?
"The goal is to reward players with information like this, but not to flood new players with missing information."
Edit: my bad it's with Yanick
I'd be terrible to send out on one of these things. I'd just blab everything. Well, not everything; not even most stuff, but they are soooo careful with their wording of everything. It's got to be a huge pain in the azz to talk like this.

Hey @macwalterslives, can you confirm if Ryder's name comes from Sally Ride?@BioFanOfficial Very much... It was a huge part of our inspiration for the name.
You're welcome
That's cool to know. I'm not surprised, but it's good to have confirmation.
Also, lucky. I wish they answered my tweets. ![]()
Yep, rewind around 40 minutes.

There is the implications that the production has some issues and needs to be improved

Which gives weight to what the ex Bio employee said.
However, I understand that EA has a graphics rendering studio to do cinematics for all their IP titles. It may very well be that the bottleneck is there (ie: scheduling conflicts). Let's face it, EA had a number of titles shown at EA PLAY. It's possible Bio got the short end of the stick.
Still, I'm curious about their production issues that prevented showing more actual game recording.
If they didn't hyped so much about what they were going to show us, i wouldn't be salty.
At least those 2 minutes were very good.

Depends on how far marketing hype got to you.
Cool interviews with both Mac AND Aaryn!
Summing it all up:
-Story driven game
-Lots of planets
-Mako is the only vehicle
-Ryder is "family", but the girls seems to be the Protagonist. (we can choose male protagonist also, and we will have some "vast roles" for the protagonist, maybe we get to choose from profession, gender, hair, something like that, but not too much of it)
-Biggest game bioware has ever made it (i'm assuming its time-wise instead of gigabytes lol)
-At least 3 ark ships
-"AI" symbol meaning still to be confirmed but prolly means Andromeda Initiative or Ark initiative.
-More Dialogue options (gray options instead of only black or white )
-End of Paragon/Renegade System
-As we can see on the trailers, we will have some wepons returning as it seems like the avenger rifle m-7 for example, the Carnifex pistol (from the leaked gameplay) and possibly others.
-Jetpack assisted Jumps and biotic strike from air
-Connections with the ME trilogy but not to fulfill all questions or missing info you could possibly have, focusing on a totally new story, with new horizons
-Facial expressions, Hair movement, dust, foliage and a lot of graphic improvements, aside from several new assets from the Frostbite dengine
-Planets with one type of bioma, inspired on Star Wars planets: deserts, jungle, water etc...
-New aliens, probably both enemies and allies.
-The need for speed team is helping building a great MAKO driving experience
-Actually in the POLISHING phase (well thats a hell of a timeframe to do only polish so my expectations just got higher and higher now, i won't tolerate bugs lol)
-Confirmation that the explorers/colonists got to andromeda using some kind of conventional travelling through space, which means probably a more advanced kind of FTL drive , maybe inspired on reaper tech or the new "crucible powered ships theory". They have been sleeping for a long time so its not some weird unknown travel method like wormholes, teleportation, intergallactic mass relays or something else.
-Technologies like seamless loading and others to help the storytelling aspect of the game
-New "Normandy-like" ship calledd TEMPEST
-Dropships like the Kodiak (driven by Cortez) from ME3 is probably there by what we can see on a glimpse from the trailer,d although we also acan see that the Tempest can actually land on the ground of the planets and drop the Mako (maybe we can directly land the tempest from space)
-Salarian, Asari, Krogan and Human races confirmed, but others not shown are probably there too, perhaps almost every race from the former trilogy (except for leviathans, protheans, thresher maws and Rachni obviously)?
-Loyalty missions included (or some sort of mision like that)
-Multiplayer similar to ME3's one, with coop missions (not sure if only coop though), some more mechanics (maybe hold the line, flags, deactivate stuff....)
-Multiplayer have ties with Singleplayer but different from what we saw on ME3, you don't have to play one or another siumultaneously if you don't want to. Theres some sort of bonus for playing both multiplayer and singleplayer though, only not something super exclusive that make people feel they have to play what they don't want to.
-Customization: there will b some, but we don't know yet the extent of it, if it will have customizable ships, wepons, armor, environments, mako, wepons, mods, etc...Pergaps we get some sort of planet customization after we "conquer" it? like having them producing us some kind of resource? that would be cool
-Combat and conversation still have the main role on the diplomatic and strategic aspect of the game's story and gameplay. The order of missions also affects stuff. Maybe multiple endings too?
-The hero's goal is to find a NEW HOME for Humanity AND RACES ACCOMPANYING YOU. (pretty much confirms ark theory)
Well there's probably more stuff i didn't covered but its what i have wrapped up in a few minutes.
But theres something bothering me for quite a while that i haven't been able to see anybody talking or asking about:
What about the MUSIC for ANDROMEDA? Can we expect it to be like the ME trilogy music? Like same "spirit", or are we going to have something specially different and new? are there any known artists doing it? orchestra? are we gonna be pleased with the exciting FAUNTS band on the game again? i heard they are releasing a new album this year so i thought its could be used in this game! I would love it ! both "M4 -Part II" and "Das Malefitz" tracks were super cool !
I would love to know something about the voice castings also. After all, they're on the polish phase already: that kind of stuff must have been done or at least ongoing by now. Why all the secrecy BIOWARE?
