Appears I caught some spies outside my window, trying to catch a glimpse as I play MEA...
Darn, he spotted my scouts!
OMG, it just dawned on me:
The journey is with the people in cryo sleep! If I had put 2 and 2 together before: This is a no-brainer since the engine is Frostbite!

Dont give up your day job lol

I will honor you the best way I can
Just watched Sony's conference.
God of War, a game we didn't know existed? We've got gameplay!
Horizon: Zero Dawn, same release frame as MEA? Gameplay!
Days Gone, another one we didn't know existed? Yup, gameplay!
From the last time we had some info (n7 day) to this e3, Kojima had time leave Konami, decide whatever the hell he was doing and make a trailer of it! (Something no one could realistically expect would happen in less than, idk, 8 years)
Mass Effect: Andromeda? "Hey, #space! We can't wait to show you more whenever".
WHY, BIOWER?
A lot of those games were 2017 at the earliest (there were only few 2016 games, the majority of them didn't even have release dates or launch windows). So, I'm with BioWare on this one; a little tease here or there never hurt no one. There in the "final stretches" of development time, which is good to hear because plenty of time to work out bugs and what not.

This morning in the shower, this crossed my mind:
The Asari from the trailer raised some eyebrows
Well, that interview pretty much dashed my hopes of there ever being a chance of being able to play as an alien protagonist. I know we won't in MEA, but Mac's words make it sound like the franchise will always be human-centric.

"So, will the online component have any impact on the game's main story?
"Yeah, I wouldn't expect it," Flynn said."
From the Polygon interview above, for those worried about multiplayer integration in singleplayer. Flynn said they heard mixed comments about their approach to MP and SP integration, and are intent on getting it right for MEA.
Mac says it wont.

Choosing one race leads to better tailored dialogues, so I'm happy!

I'm genuinely glad for you. I however am nothing but depressed about this.

So does Flynn.

If this is the thing that causes depression for you, you must live a pretty charmed life.

Y'know, that would be a good point if we weren't in the same forums where people were ready to invade Montreal and lynch the devs because they didn't like a trailer ![]()

No, I have not.
New interview
400 years trip to Andromeda is 'not a bad guess'
The article has Mac quoted as calling this a standalone game. No trilogy?
"We'll be re-explaining [the series' technology and concepts] in this game, but other than that, this is very much a standalone game that then takes place in a completely new galaxy," he said.

I think 'standalone' from the old trilogy. And no one ever said there'd be a new trilogy. It doesn't have to be, to have sequals. Dragon Age isn't a trilogy, Assassin's Creed isn't one, Final Fantasy not, etc.

I think Flynn gets asked just that question in the same interview:
Mass Effect: Andromeda devs like to repeat one thing: This is a big game. Exactly how big, however, they're keeping under wraps. When asked about the scope of the game and the possibilities for spinning up a sequel or even another trilogy, Flynn deferred back to the size of their current project.
"I trust the writers," Flynn said. "They're a lot smarter at this stuff than I am. But never once have I heard one of the writers talk about this in any way that would say, and this is an absolute final thing that can never be taken forward. They tend to be very good at imagining interesting characters and interesting settings that have lots of opportunity to move forward as well."
So basically, maybe. They probably don't know yet. Either that or they don't want to be making promises just yet.
I assume he meant that it's not directly connected to ME1-3,a separate story about a different protagonist in a different galaxy within the ME universe. The article has Mac quoted as calling this a standalone game. No trilogy?
