Heading back to my home galaxy after a great #EAPlay. Can't wait to show more #MassEffect in the year to come.

I liked this one interview. It's basically "you realized people are pissed by the lack of gameplay?".

Plus, it makes the project sound like it's in trouble.

It makes me sad that he had to go to therapy because of the reception of Mass Effect 3's ending. Gamers can be such A**holes.

Well, it's not gonna dropped right now, so I don't really care. The problems are gonna be solved one way or another, and as long as they deliver, I'm ok with it, even with delays.
The lack of info, however, is getting tiresome; they take forever to announce it, then say "more info later this year"; later that year, we got nothing. Then it's "more info at EaPlay", where we get close to nothing, and then it's "more info in the fall".
I'm already burned out on this game, and I have seen none of it; I really dislike this whole "carrot and stick" market approach they're taking.
Just show something with a little bit of meat; if the game is as big as they say, it won't be ruined by a five minute gameplay video. If it's in the polishing stage as they say, there's no way they have nothing to show. If you look at Bioware's twitter account, every response is "we can't wait to show you more". Well, then don't wait, just put something together and show it!

Who could ever expect a 3rd barebones E3 showing wouldn't exactly entice fans and press with joy? ![]()

I have a bad feeling this may turn out to be a huge euphemism...

I guess everyone's forgetting that Uncharted 4 underwent huge plot changes, even changed lead writers, actors (Alan tudyk's character got cut,) and had tons of people leave Naughty Dog, including Amy Hennig, whom Nathan Drake was HER creation. It underwent 6 delays.
And Uncharted 4 is one of the best games I've ever played.
Don't doubt the changes. Sometimes they're the best things to ever happen to a game.

Interesting.
It sounds like while right now they're developing this game as a standalone thing, there is a possibility of it becoming a trilogy.
Also: Man, I feel really bad for Bioware right now. Having to do Therapy is rough.

I hope they realize being able to transfer same character across 3 games is the #1 reason people stuck with the trilogy despite all the lackluster outcomings of the choices.

If I remember rightly, didn't Alan Tudyk say something about how he didn't like the changes, or something like that? Also, when Hennig left, this rumour started that it was all down to Neil Druckmann.
Another game which had an infamously torturous development was Red Dead Redemption, with rumours of tensions, mismangament, feature creep and all sorts leaking out - at one point devs and their families publically complained about working conditions. It's considered one of the best games of all time now, though.

I'm not particularly concerned for Andromeda at the moment, partly because I don't have many expectations for it at all.

lol @ people eating up the "therapy bills" part.
because fans werent as equally invested in the game as the developers rite? and felt no emotion other than entitlement because we didnt get what we wanted. Right?
we didnt need help understanding those endings.
we didnt need assistance coping with disappointment.
we didnt need catharsis ourselves. we simply became monsters.
people here seem to know it all, almost all the time.
but they dont.

@tibermoon @macwalterslives And I hope there will be decent and logical records in codex about all the technology, weapons, social...
@user @tibermoon Of course... Detailed. In depth. Codex entries. It wouldn't be #MassEffectAndromeda without them.

Isn't that like saying you went to therapy because some people online yelled at you? Emotional trauma is emotional trauma. I'm not sure the source matters.

The short answer is no. The long answer will take this thread massively off-topic.
I think the long answer is you don't really have an argument to stand on. : )
By saying "it's just a video game" you're equally marginalizing what Aaron said in that GameSpot interview. You can't have your cake and eat it too in this instance. And it's not just about "not liking the ending."
If I could put in perspective, the Mass Effect series is like this girlfriend you've been dating for five wonderful years. She's gorgeous, fun-loving, carefree. She's quintessentially the perfect woman.....until she suddenly CHEATS ON you at the end of the fifth year and then dumps you shortly afterward COMPLETELY OUT OF THE BLUE.. Andromeda is literally an ex who is trying to come back into your good graces.
