This interview is more of the same, but at the end Mac Walters says something interesting. Apparently the colonists all have different reasons for 'wanting' to go to Andromeda. They clearly had a choice, could apply for the trip. It's not 'Hurry, everyone! Get in the lifeboat!'.

I think most of the people who are concerned are at school during the week, so weren't able to attend press events.

Journalist and vloggers are there for all the games. They can't check the forum reactions for every game that had a trailer released during E3, and they can't know all the lore of every game themselves.

I don't know, the Asari were created as space babes, kinda like Twi'leks. If they are now retconned to be a gender fluid androgyn race, that will upset a lot of people, I'm sure.

Mac walters speeches are like "you know, there is a lot of, you know, i mean, we at bioware, you know, do as much as possible of, you know....."

I don't know what all the fuss is about, really. In the original trilogy, Liara had eyebrows too and as far as I can remember, a lot of people liked her nonetheless. I think Bioware even mentioned back then that they did this on purpose to make her looks more appealing.

People are bothered by eyebrows (right now I'm not sure those were really eyebrows), because asari are not supposed to have hair, right?

It's like they're forgetting asari had eyelashes in the trilogy...

I kind of understand though. It's difficult to have a conversation about something you're....not really allowed to have a conversation about.

Question becomes why are we volunteering to go to Andromeda and why is there a program available to volunteer for.

What causes these guys to up and decide "Hey, I want to go to Andromeda lets build some ARKs."

Also, being interviewed and giving interviews is a skill that you have to learn, if you don't happen to be naturally gifted at public speaking - and even then, taking in front of a camera can be really hard / unnerving if you don't have a lot of experience with it.

You do realize this is a standard Bio recipe?

I believe Bio did too much of a good job with the trilogy characters. Intentional, of course and very successful. However, because many gamers made these characters their own or allowed themselves to be attached to them, any physical changes is viewed as anathema (detested). So, it's unsurprising to see such reactions.

Bio can easily explain this as a natural occurrence of their children which will disappear as adults.

Yes, it's nothing compared to how the Quanari changed between DA:O and DA2, or how the Protheans from ME1 were not actually the real Protheans

Hers weren't real. But there is an entire thread dedicated to this topic, so I suggest you check that out to see the issues about that.

Oooh, that pretty much confirms that she's gonna be an actual, significant character! I suspected as much, but I couldn't escape the nagging suspicion that she was gonna be trailer-only.

Well, that's one more thing to be excited about! Bring on the new info! PLEASE!

Cora)

Was it ever confirmed? Most assume there's gonna be 1 Asari and 1 lead Human Female, Cora could be either of them
