So I have been dissecting the new E3 trailer like everyone else who has watched it lol but am I the only one that can see crazy similarities with the "big mouth creature thing" and the Yahg?? I've heard a lot about it looking like a Pride Demon, but I think it leans more towards the Yahg...I hope they didn't pack up the ex-Shadow Broker's cousin for the trip lol

It would be cool to have circumstantial "game over" death scenes, ala the most recent Tomb Raider games.

Unless the voyage to Andromeda started several decades after ME3 (maybe more) that is unlikely since the Yahg were quarantined to their homeworld.
But only the devs may know the answer to that question right now.... 
I wonder how far are they with voice acting with the game. Like how much is it actually finished and implemented to the game already. I guess that the game itself can be finished, like graphics, mechanics, writing and stuff like that but voice acting not? It would be also cool to know who are the voice actors.
ME3 had enemies doing instakill moves if you got too close didn't they? Probably that. And it probably looks like a yahg cuz they're gonna reuse assets.

I feel like they're giant waste of developement time. Would rather have animators work on cutscenes for alternative routes/paths/quests than "pretty" death scenes

They don't look that much the same beside "wannabe gorilla".
Different skin (new species is a lot more armored), facial features (less eyes, different mouth, etc), horns and paws (4 digits, Yags has 3).
Also, it's like twice has big as a Yags and has parts that glows.

Yes, but these must be compatible with the FB3 engine. Otherwise, as Bio already stated, they are all new.

And coming up with new ideas for alien bodies is hard work, according to the studio. Why these creature have 8 eyes, I don't know the reason.... seems like too much work for no gain. Maybe we will see a cobra-like snake, twice as tall as a human that spitballs corrosive acid.

Is this FOR REAL? never saw any devs talking about canon books being released, now we should have the 1st of 4 books released in august!? THAT WOULD BE SUPER COOL
And there is even this 4th novel book which is supposedly "by Mac Walters" according to the Titan (publisher) for 2018 september

I'm going to make sure I read these books before playing MEA. I didn't even know the OT novels existed when I played the trilogy the first time and I was like "Kai what? Who is this Grayson character??!!"

To me that sounds like something you do once you are 'feature complete', i.e. when you go from Pre-Alpha to Alpha.
