Eurogamer: Why Mass Effect: Andromeda won't acknowledge your ME3 ending choice
<<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>>
Once again, the Bio studio fulfilled my expectations. Which were, you ask?
1. Little to be shown until the fall
2. only "major" political species in Andromeda
3. clean break from the trilogy.
Plus there is consistency in what the studio says:
Example 1
"It's important for us to have elements from the Trilogy for fans to have in the background," Walters explained. "Ultimately this is intended to be a fresh story, but we want to have things for people to find and go 'oh, I remember that character'. My bet is the loyalty missions will contain those elements.
Example 2
"We needed to find a way to make sure certain species you're familiar with come along with you on your journey to meet new ones". Confirmation that only the majors come with, to make room for the new. This strongly suggests that the squad is made of of only humans, Asari, Salarians, Krogans, possibly Turian plus the new species. That's five MW species plus two Andromeda ones = 7.
Thanks ~
It's crystal clear there's no canon ending and that our choice will not affect MEA, which is a very good point to me.
But I'm sure we will still continue to see a great amount of threads asking what ending is canon and if our choice will be important on MEA...

The simple answer is that your ending choice IS YOUR CANON ENDING. ![]()

Well, since there is no "big reveal" until the fall, does that mean Bio tweets are now for the birds?

There is no guarantee there will be any big reveals in the fall either
Eurogamer: Why Mass Effect: Andromeda won't acknowledge your ME3 ending choice
"There are no green-skinned people," he said. "To be clear."
THAT's RACIST! Why only blue people!?

Well, about the protagonists, it is already set by devs that we are going to see some kind of "heroe's journey" inspired story, so i brought this image here so those of you who have been living in a cave since Star Wars release decades ago could know more about what does it means:

That better not be what they mean by 'certain species'. They better have all the Milky Way species in Andromeda. Not as squad mates sure, but definitely in the setting.

will we hear anymore news about andromeda before N7 day?
Not really. I'd rather we focus on making MEA great... before we get talking about how great it will one day be.
Boring!
Thank the Biotic God that they don't come to BSN to see fan reactions.
Yeah, because Twitter is such a bastion of civility and culture.
I doubt we'll see all of them. My bet is that quarians and geth, at least, aren't coming. Dunno about hanar, volus, and drell.
Then there goes any chance of me purchasing it.

Sadly, that seems like the most likely case. I would be just as surprised to see Drell as I would to see Quarians.

I could see just a handful of the ol' favorite races on the squad, but the rest of the "politically advanced" ones being around as NPCs.
I'd bank on some quarians being on the ship. They weren't all above Rannoch, , if the ark does happen to leave after that battle, and Tali's pretty darn popular.
Geth? Yeah, the geth are gone.
I wouldn't bank on geth sense prior to ME3, they were still considered an enemy to most of the Milky Way.

Plus, going to Andromeda must count as the greatest pilgrimage ever.

Fabulous. Yes.

Hopefully we'll have awesome beards in this game.

Actions to make facial hair look good to superb is appreciated. Discussing facial hair is boring.

I disagree. Discussing my beard is riveting.

So not only will be leaving all the iconic places and tech, but now also my favorite race in the game. Just perfect. ![]()

Before ME3, they were feared and not trusted.
During ME3, they can be entirely annihilated (and not trusted).
After ME3, they can be annihilated twice over.
Makes perfect sense why they wouldn't be anywhere near Andromeda.
