I tried asking about it, even adding they are my favorite race, but they wouldn't give a straight yes or no. Sorry.

Before ME3, they were feared and not trusted.
During ME3, they can be entirely annihilated (and not trusted).
After ME3, they can be annihilated twice over.
Makes perfect sense why they wouldn't be anywhere near Andromeda.
Then they might as well have made Destroy canon at this point. At least then we'd be able to stay in the Milky Way. But no, I get all of the cons with none of the pros of this setting switch. ![]()

Gamedam Meister @GamedamMeister@masseffect @AarynFlynn @GambleMike @macwalterslives Will the Geth be joining us to Andromeda? They are my favorite so am hoping they will.Mass Effect @masseffect@GamedamMeister You will find a few familiar elements in Mass Effect: Andromeda. We'll talk about the details later this year.Gamedam Meister @GamedamMeister@masseffect Okay. I appreciate you letting me know I'll have an answer before release. Thank you.
Thanks for asking. I figured they wouldn't give an answer.

Nope. We'd still have a ton of other variables to deal with.
Buck up, champ. It'sa gonna be aight.

How can I buck up? There is literally nothing so far that makes this alright, not a single piece of good news about this game.

That is your opinion.
That went without saying.
Hmm, lessee, all I can recall seeing-at this point-is Salarian, Krogan and Asari.
I'm not surprised we have not seen any Geth. I am surprised we have not seen any Turian..yet. Kinda surprised about Quarians.
I wonder if it's just going to be Salarian, Krogan and Asari? Any others being new species?
I admit bulding some sort of arc ship and not bringing some species(like the hanar or vorcha) feels dumb to me...
I still hope that isn't the case.
It would be a bad decision not to pack every Milky Way race on the Ark. They're already changing the setting and ditching every single location from the trilogy. It's a big risk in itself, they should make sure everything else is as familiar as possible to soften the effect of big departure. Besides, pretty much all ME races are well-liked, which may be the single greatest achivement of the Trilogy. People want to see more of them, especially those races that weren't featured heavily or treated as half-comedy relief (Elcor, Volus, Hanar). Krogan, Asari and other major races being the only ones that go to Andromeda would suck.
My sympathies are whole-heartedly with the developers whom have spent over a decade using all their creative talents to make something that millions of people find joy in, every single day, rather than the people who went on a high of negativity and deaththreats and lawsuits because apparently they didn't get the ending to a videogame that they think they wanted.lol @ people eating up the "therapy bills" part.
because fans werent as equally invested in the game as the developers rite? and felt no emotion other than entitlement because we didnt get what we wanted. Right?
we didnt need help understanding those endings.
we didnt need assistance coping with disappointment.
we didnt need catharsis ourselves. we simply became monsters.
people here seem to know it all, almost all the time.
but they dont.

I hope it's not case, too. If we're on an ARK, then you would think there is room for such as Hanar, Vorcha, etc. Maybe they won't be squaddies, but they should be there. On a friggin Ark.
You know, they probably will be there. Aren't there actually three Arks, as well. There's plenty of room. It would be mighty empty without them. Yeah, they'll be there.
.......
Yeah, because Twitter is such a bastion of civility and culture.

We almost have to take them. If we land on a planet with extremely deep oceans or toxic worlds, the hanar and the vorcha are essential.
They're worse from what I can tell. The most popular search For MEA was UGLY ASARI.
and that's weird.
and that's weird.
Oh, those sketchy humans.

The internet seems to have turned people into sociopaths. At this point I think some people just liked the idea of the folks at Bioware being a surrogate for all the disappointments in their own Lives.
cool silly story. doesnt change what i think. and the last sentence is basically the punchline of this forum. you dislike something and all of a sudden you're channeling your life's disappointment into Bioware. LOL.
hooray for SJWs and white knights. the interwebs would never be the same without you.

Now if you were going to design an Ark to get away and go explore a new system....think politics in game life, not what devs would do to make gamers happy....
Why would the Vorcha be there unless they were stow-aways? None of the other races particularly care for them. they aren't major political players, they have no major resources/tech to offer, other than they are disease resistant.
Volus? Since they are major financial players in council space, I could see them being included. But I could also see the council promising them something else in trade (like more territory or a share of profits from the expedition )which with volus I could see them taking that...less physical risk). Especially if the reaper threat is downplayed by the council and they sell the Ark as a technology/exploration mission. See the Quarians for reason not to include them on ship.
Elcor, Drell, Hanar....cant see a reason to have them involved at all. They were never particularly known for anything.
Quarians, can't see bringing them. They are a problematic species that would require a ton of resources compared to other species with those enviro suits and no immune system. they are also not known for playing nice as a group with the other council races, and the council races look down on them. Who knows what worlds and conditions you'd encounter? And any argument about taking Quarians for mechanics can be replaced by Salarians.
Salarians, science and tech experts, council race, of course they'd be there.
Asari, biotics and leaders, oldest council race, leadership positions, of course they'd be there. Nothing would get through the council for big spending without their agreement.
Turians, council race, security, military, or course they'd have a presence.
Korgans, able to withstand toxic environments, willing to fight (a lot), useful as cannon fodder, especially with a higher then other races birth rate (even with the genophage). Of course the council would take them. But because of violent tendencies, and birth rate, they do have their drawbacks.
Humans, loud, obnoxious, and wanting to be included in everything. Take 'em to shut 'em up. Actually compared to the other species, depending on when the Ark launched/was built, a wild-card species for the Council to include.
Geth, problematic species with them being against organics (thinking ME1 here....since that seems a probably timeline for the ARK to be built/staffing planned). Possibility for a different-developed-in-secret-friendly AI species to be included? Possible. Council development of the Moon-base AI that Cerberus turned into EDI?
Yarg? No way. Security risk.
