I thought it was cool that they got the four of you on the radio, but after listening to the segment, I got the sense that the host was expecting a bit more insider info or disagreement between you guys. It also seemed unexpectedly short, like it was intended to be longer, but the host cut you guys off because he didn't think it was interesting. Maybe i'm just reading the whole thing wrong, what do I know.

 

Nevertheless, I enjoyed hearing you guys.

It was speculative/reaction to the E3 trailer, it was very short sadly. Granted it's radio content versus online content where they can't stay on a particular topic to long, but still.

At some point it moves from trolling (which is where someone isn't sincere but just wants to provoke a reaction) to a level of obsession that probably means they're actually serious, but just don't understand that 99.99% of people don't care about pixels in videogames to that extent. If this is one guy who has had an issue with the jawbones of female characters in two Bioware games, to the point where he's been posting about it on forums and Twitter for months or years, it might indicate something else is going on with him personally. 

 

(And yeah, people laugh at this guy or the Tali sweat guy, but mental illness is a serious topic.)

Oh, I agree--trolls generally, well, 'troll' to get a rise out of people, whereas I'm fairly sure this dude is actually concerned.

 

I'm just not inclined to be overly sympathetic - without knowing that his concern is actually the consequence of mental illness, anyway - 'cause I find the very idea that all/most female characters in games ought be designed along the lines of 'what male gamers like' - quoted from the diagram - utterly shitty.

 

The, 'this asari makes men want to vomit' comment isn't helping either, with how clearly that whole controversy demonstrated how far we still have to go before female characters are no longer seen as eye-candy first, actual characters second.

I don't think they have to follow TW3, but there are attractive women in TW3 who are fully clothed. All the thre major female characters, for example. It's not necessary to spread lies, or non accurate things. If you dont' find them attractive, just say so.

Well... last week the forum has been quite inclined to make laughable topics in bloody serious and viceversa so, I can understand right now you can´t tell jokes apart from notjokes. I surely can't tell them apart anymore

I think Ryder female look like just the way she must for fulfilling her purpose. I mean, she is supposed to be some not so important human being, not a super hero with random background story like Shepard, she is a normal human being whose history is yet to be told and feats yet to be achieved and i'm sure we will all  love her in time. Also i think she can be attractive , yes. Maybe not so appealing and sexually inclined as the characters in Dragon Age or The Witcher, but that's not something that is a "must" , it should be interesting to play with her nonetheless. 

Besides, Bioware must make sure we get some nice and round asses to look at during the gameplay anyways lol
