Convention season is here, which means we're on the road again. Catch us along the way: http://bit.ly/28SDs1j
PAX West would be the best bet for any kind of details, maybe SDCC... also, GaymerX could bring some romance details.

Fingers crossed.. Glad they posted that schedule too cause I only knew about Pax East and Pax South lol
I seriously need to un-hype this and delete my expectations. I have never followed or anticipated an upcoming game this far in advance or this closely in my entire lifetime. I can't accept the disappointment of actually playing the game. I'm not saying it'll be disappointing, but it's impossible to live up to the mountain of expectations I now sit on.
It needs to be deflated. I need a HYPE DETOX
Meh. Detox is a made-up buzzword to sell expensive "health" products. It sounds like you need something more substantial like a surgical intervention. A Hype-o-suction?
Remember to look at their shirts this time.
Did anyone notice there weren't any Reapers in the N7 trailer (1 Ark),also in the new one with the 3 Arks.
Makes it seem like it's before the Reapers reach the Sol system, between the ending of ME2 and beginning of ME3.
Which could make the N7 guy the temporary replacement to Shepard,"second best N7 operative",during the time Shepard had Normandy taken and stuff.
To me, ever since they revealed the premise of the game that's always been the most obvious time for it to happen, and everything we've seen and heard so far has done nothing but reinforce my position. It had to be before the ending of ME3 in order for the choice to have no effect. In that case you have to explain why it wasn't mentioned in the games, and in my opinion that's easier to achieve when Shepard is either missing or working with Cerberus. There are problems whenever you set it, but for my money they are minimised in that time period.

Not holding my breath, though.
Another level review today, another homerun by the team. A great mission that was unique in design, narrative, and art direction.
Dan, Sean, Luke knocked it out the park.

Seems to me that "polishing" is adding and reviewing more level designs.

He didn't say they were adding anything. He said they were reviewing which is a part of the final stages of production so that would still fit with the term "Polish"

Star Wars celebration, San diego comic-con and PAX west all a few weeks after the other... holy crap
I know you're joking, and that eezo is hella silly etc., but this seems like as good a time as any to point out that as a planetary scientist I was pretty impressed by the little briefings that come up when you scan planets in ME1. I didn't read all of them, so there may be some goofy ones, but the ones I read all seemed to have been written by someone who did their homework.
I feel ya, I'm a game dev myself and I'm working on a sci-fi setting. inorder to make it more sci and less fi, you can get in touch with the guys at http://www.sciencean...ntexchange.org/ to make the game more believable. Right now i'm working with a scientist with a PhD in planetary science from seti.
Reality is inmersion for me.

Technically, true.
I'm just a "read between the lines" type of guy. ![]()

@GambleMike after the game is out and we've all gotten to play it, I'd love to know who did what levels. So excited!
@user i will absolutely give shout outs to the entire team. In press and on Twitter
So much opportunity for a lot of little details in various cons to become a large amount of revealing information. So exciting!
Hrungr, do we get a cool con thread for all this excitement?
Tomorrow we take to Snapchat to give you a look inside our Montréal studio.

@jos Hendriks
HI,
A thought hit me about a possible Bio combat feature.... ability to pause tough combat situation, switch to a training scenario to hone a specific skill needed in that mission then switch back and continue. This is predicated upon meaningful and in-depth game training feature. Also, you can open up additional training scenarios as you progress through the game.
Manual game saves at any point is an acceptable alternative.
I really, really, and I mean it, I hate to start over from the beginning in long missions only to arrive at the same point and die.
Thanks for reading.

Good to know we have someone in the know! ![]()
(And planetary scientist sounds like a fun occupation!)
Joking aside, the ME universe is a great playground and space fantasies (like SW, ME...) allow you a level of freedom in your setting-building that hard Sci-Fi might not. And it's interesting to see where each draw the line. It would be a fun discussion to see what fantasy elements people are more willing to accept (eg. fantasy technology) vs those which people might not (planetary compositions/environments). For example, could you have something like Ego, the Living Planet or Unicron in the ME universe? I expect people would more readily accept the later than the former.

If they plan on any ME panels during these cons, I'll definitely set up threads for them.

Those were written by Chris L'Etoile. The writer for Ashley Williams in ME1 and Legion and Thane in ME2.
Sadly he left Bioware after ME2.
