Oh, yes. The confirmation bias excuse.

It's not actually bad, no sir. They were just looking for it to be bad, and that's why they think it is.

What isn't true for you may still be true for others.

"Going into something expecting to hate it almost guarantees you will hate it. Go in with an open mind and you may be pleasantly surprised."

I know exactly what I want out of this, and my state of mind going in is not going to change that one bit.

The existence of confirmation bias is not the issue.

It's unfair to the actual opinions and expectations of others to simply keep regurgitating that somebody who made up their mind to not like something probably won't like it.

If Billy wants to say that people should keep an open mind or give something a chance or look differently at something, then he can simply say that. It doesn't need to be couched in a platitude about confirmation bias.

I actually agree with this.

"A man is literally what he thinks."

Personally, I think it's important to judge things for what they are and so I will be quite surprised if I hate the EC after playing it.  That said, I do not expect it to make me like the ending any better, but we'll see.

Tried that with ME3 the first time around.

Didn't work.

Errm, he did say so. Directly so in fact.

Did Jessica Confirm that if you want to get a ''happy ending'' i.e destroy, you have to murder the Geth and EDI? That's just lovely.
I miss the suicide mission, where putting in hard work you got rewarded.

The more I hear, the more I don't want. I'm not going to complain or ''hold the line'' this time though, I'm just going to move on and not play. It's sad that this had to happen to Bioware, I was mega bioware fan for 15 years. Eugh!

Yeah, murdering your potential allies and a squadmate does quite suck.... but f*** it, if that's the ONLY damn way that my Shepard can get a "happy" ending with his crew and his LI (in my case, Tali), then so f***ing be it. <_<

I want a damn happy ending at this point, that's all I want right now - some semblance of an ending where there is still hope for our heroes, still a measure of happiness for these characters to have in the end.... and not some "f*** you" of an ending where, no matter your choices, everything in the galaxy is gone to hell in one way or another and the characters that we have spent 3 games getting to know and care about aren't royally screwed over.

That's some nice closure. I spent allot of time on 4chan, reddit and BSN over March watching the **** storm go down, I don't remember people saying closure was the primary problem. Oh well. Can't wait for that.
Killing EDI will be just horrible, and also the Geth after Legion sacrificed so much, but then again I want my shep to have ''little blue children''

Well, that renders the Geth mission and Legion's sacrifice completely ****ing pointless if you pick the Destroy option doesn't it. Grrrr... I guess I'll have to try out all 3 colours and watch the epilogues for those before picking an ending and sticking to it.

I might try and watch them all detatched, like it's some sort of dark comedy. I have my own head cannon ending anyway.

I bet we don't even get the option of Shepard and his/her companions/LI reuniting. YAY for killing off our allies for no ****ing reason! <_<

Yep.

Why on Earth did they think this stuff would make people like the endings more?

You do know that ME wasn't designed around you right since its designed around their story for millions of people,

Sadly some people can't be contructive with their opinions.

Why is it that the geth or edi need survive the destroy ending?

My guess is so we could see it as the perfect ending. I´m not so annoyed at their destruction (along with any other synthetic in the galaxy) as it being through a energy wave that can tell whether something is self aware and not organic. Reaper tech did it doesn´t cut it, not by far.

Control doesn't take control of the Geth.

Then why does Destroy wipe out the Geth? The crucible's function seems inconsistent.
