Technically, it could be that you'd need very high EMS to achieve the "good" ending and therefore you'd have to play all the other DLC, or alternatively, promote many characters in the multiplayer.ElitePinecone wrote...
(That's also one of the reasons a 'puzzle theory' is nonsense, an ending DLC that required all the other DLC first is out of the question)

David was not the lead writer of BG2. He wasn't even a senior writer at that time (seriously, it was his first game). Nor was he the lead on ToB (but I still blame him for some of it!simfamSP wrote...
Or is David Gaider borderline retarded because of the lack of quality in DA2? Christ, it's like we forget he's the dude who wrote Irenicus and was lead writer for Baldur's Gate 2.).
Additionally, the issues with DA2 weren't so much with the actual writing. Knowing what he wrote, I'd say he hit it out of the park (yet again), even if the game didn't come together as well as it should have.
My mistake then, but it still doesn't derail from my point. These people shouldn't be condemed for their mistakes without looking at their previous works. DG might never have been the lead writer for BG2, but he still wrote an amazing character, and continues to writer amazing characters.

Grunt was much better in ME3 than in ME2. I loved him in 3, he's like an adopted son for my ShepMACharlie1 wrote...
The problem with GRUNT was that he simply didn't get the screentime. He had one mission and that was the last (Save for the final hologram) we heard from him. He really should have been there for the Tuchanka plot and showed up somewhere at some point. But when he was there, very powerful.grey_wind wrote...

Hell, how do you guys even know half of these writers.
And yes, many thanks Jos for answering
I hated how wasted Grunt was, as both a character and a plot device.
Oh well, to each his/her own.
Miranda...dear God. She was written poorly. They didn't want to give her a Cerberus sub-plot so they recycled her sister one. They wrote her to be a femm fatale (listen to Yvonne's voice - it's too seductive) and then they kill her off if you break up with her. Very weak character.
Ashleys was simply chopped to bits.

I think it was 4 or 5 writers and the lead writer, for Leviathan. But I might be wrong.

I don't know how many writers worked on Omega (probably less than 8 since the squadmates are not here), Leviathan had 4 or 5 writers, From Ashes had 2 writers.

I was a bit vague in my post, so I want to clarify that my point was more about compression than anything else. On PC there is less audio compresison in the main game, so I wonder if the PC version will still get uncompressed audio in the DLC because the 360 version is at the filesize cap. I personally want them to release the PC version of the DLC with current gen textures, but even the main game didn't have that.ElitePinecone wrote...

I hope they don't limit the quality of the DLC on all platforms because of a filesize limit on Xbox 360.El_Chala_Legalizado wrote...
Yep, MS imposed a 2 gb limit.K2LU533 wrote...
Why does the DLC have to be a limited size? Is this imposed by Sony/Microsoft etc? And why?
The Xbox 360 has by far the biggest proportion of Mass Effect 3 players. If DLC is targeted at anybody, it's them - so yes, Bioware probably do base a lot of design decisions around the filesize limits and certification processes of Microsoft.
Certainly, making content unavailable to ~60% of your playerbase by ignoring the 360's size restriction would be pretty silly.

What I don't understand is why they can't split it into two files. One 1.99gb, then another being whatever the rest of the DLC size is. Download part one, then part 2 is download for free. Bypass the rules.
I think Microsoft has a fixed limit on free DLC though.

Very cool. The soundtrack and sound design was top notch. Glad to see them receive some props for it.
...and just a personal note: surprised Journey was not nominated for best original score. Ah well.

Ah, I'd wondered if you meant something like that.
Did they release Leviathan with uncompressed audio? I guess it boils down to the individual team, their budget, and whether optimisation for the PC is part of their priorities.
(I don't know how development on ME3 works specifically, but I imagine it would be possible to record higher-quality audio for a PC baseline then use a compressed version on the consoles?)

Will if there's one thing I can give Mass Effect 3, it's original score.
I'm still listening to the damn track even now!
That said, I think The Walking Dead and XCOM deserve GOTY.
