So, Omega is just about fighting with a petty criminal against Cerberus soldiers in a meaningless battle without any crew interaction. I'm not saying I won't ever buy the DLC, but I definitely won't buy it this year.

So Overlord was just about fighting with mute squadmates (including Legion, a Geth who had nothing to say in a facility that experimented on... GETH) against petty mechs & Geth (ohh look, again silent Legion derp). And it was the ultimate side-quest, having zero impact on the main game.

It also happens to be a great DLC, one of the best in the franchise.

Same applies to Bring Down the Sky.

My advice - play Omega first, then judge.

Firstly, I don't think that Overlord is one of the best DLCs in the franchise. It's somewhere in the middle on my list, actually. And I believe BioWare said squadmates in ME2 weren't voiced due to the fact that there were too many of them. (Something which isn't the case in ME3 as the crew is smaller.)

Secondly, Overlord is a ME2 DLC. And at the time of its release, we could at least assume that the DLC would have some impact on the story in ME3. Even if its impact would be minimal. But ME3 is the last game in the trilogy. It's very likely that, if there ever will be ME4, we won't be able to import our ME3 saved games. Therefore, Omega is a completely self-contained story, meaning that whether or not you help Aria retake the station is absolutely meaningless in the battle against the Reapers.

And as for your advice, well, it's not a very good advice because I wouldn't be able to get my money back if I bought the DLC and didn't like it.

Not get money back, you can work for money though. It's quite cheap compared to the mexican prices.

It probably boils down to: 1) Do it exactly the way Aria wants; or 2) ****** Aria off, but do what she wants anyway. :P

And? Reasons don't matter. Mute squadmates is the same as no squadmates, neither really are part of the story.

And yet the opinions didn't change about BDTS, or Overlord despite the fact that we already know they don't really matter much. So people are perfectly capable of playing the DLC just for the adventure. Ohh and there was never any guarantee DLC would be part of a larger plot, especially with stuff like Overlord it was rather obvious from the beginning that it was a side story. So yeah, meaningless. Your favourite word.

Then read reviews, watch it on YouTube or whatever. Claiming that you're not buying it because it won't be good before it was even released is just nonsense.

Cerberus engineers in Fumi District are repairing an electrical conduit. Please cooperate if escorted to safety.

Get in touch with extraction teams. We have to get over there now. If
the civilians are too rowdy, Cerberus will go to live ammunition. -N

It's always fun watching the RPing drama over Twitter. :) I think it must be something fun for the writers.

Agree with everything you said IsaacShep. People really should stop with the sorry excuses.

Also these messages are really funny:

Won't do. Heading to scout area. Send in extraction team as soon as they
bug out. I'll guide civilians out of trouble myself if need be. -N

Well, I´d even take that if we don´t get more. I mean, we have to get rid of Cerberus anyway, but seeing that the Turian Girl is the Talons leader, we may have the option to off Aria and get her as the new leader of Omega ( by that we could lose the allegiance of the Blue Suns, Eclipse & Blood Pack - if we did that quest first - but we´d get something else in return - and most importantly, a dead Aria :D).

I really hope Bioware wasn´t too afraid to let players decide what happens to Aria (I mean, they could still plan to use her in comics etc., but I think this DLC would really profit if such a big decision could be made!)

Ohh wow. Now that's surprising. Though I do begin to worry. The squad (If Kaidan returns so will all other squadmembers) + Joker + obviously new characters in Citadel DLC... It better not mean "budget for voice actors run out, no Jack/Miranda/Thane". If it's "all hends on deck"/last DLC, the last adventure with Shep & old Trilogy characters, they (EA) shouldn't skimp on budget & resources, won't be another chance (if ME4 is a sequel, it will surely be set long after everyone from the Original Trilogy is already dead)

I don't think Seth Green played any other roles are then Joker though. If he is playing as Joker then he could have a small role like in arrival so i'm keeping mhy expectations low at the moment.

Except Seth Green didn't  have any role in the Arrival DLC,  they just recycled like one Joker line for one moment in the DLC - they couldn't even bother to use his voice for when the Normandy arrived to pick up Shepard, they got some random smuck Normandy crewmember to announce that the ship was "inbound for pick-up" to Shepard, lol.

I'm going to hold off on this DLC because I'd rather pay attention to the MWO open beta. Seth Green coming back sounds promising, but Mass Effect has become rather stale for me. A pity.

In a way, I'm super excited about all these VA's returning. On the other hand, I'm worrief that Bioware gave in to the haters and decided to do yet another ending related DLC. Please don't do that BW.

MMSnodgrass Sorry, but we have said, since the Extended Cut, that DLCs will not change the endings. The EC was the end of the endings.

Well, doesn't look like it ^^
But Jos was talking about the writers, not the VAs.
