You don't seriously think ME3 is as simple a project as The Sims when it comes to development costs and effort, do you?Omega Torsk wrote...

But i guess the revamped graphics cant handle it.
Also i would like a lot of things to happen in-game, not in a cutscene.

No I just remembered it is probably what video they put together for the categories that they were nominated in and such.
Probably. MAYBE a little snippet of upcoming DLC with an "early 2013" tag, but doubtful. Most likely just a montage of game vids for nominations. <_<

An expansion pack developed by them could silence many of the critics and showcase there vision of franchise. It may delay ME4 but honestly would rather have more dev time on DA3 and ME4 as the team got blasted for SP game. It was lack of time not bad devs that caused issues - ignoring end which I think would have been fixed with more time, especially war asset integration some of which where negated due to movement of Citadel takeover to earlier in game with no time to adjust WA.
And sorry if bits slightly off-topic xbox browser wont allow me to start new thread

Although I dont think expansion pack is on the cards it may be great idea to consider. I like reading dev tweets and speculating but the new elephant in room - standing beside tri coloured ending elephant - has not been addressed. Omega being disappointing to many and first created by ME4 team. I liked it but many missed rpg element but from tweets I understood that it was all out action and next DLC more character based. Thats why this thread is good for both new info, crazy speculations and explaining decisions. Should be stickied to top.

I agree. Personally, I think this would be logical, to try adn tie up loose ends and set things up for ME4. Or, if they choose not to do an expansion, maybe an XBLA and PSN game.

It's wishful thinking. God knows I want it to be.
But if twitter is to be believed, what kind of content could possibly require that many writers?
i'm more inclined to think it's something involving all of your squadmates, separated into chunks of content. I saw earlier that someone mentioned the possibility of your LI from ME2 joining, that sounds awesome and would make sense.
Or maybe they're really going through with ramping up priority earth, but probably going to keep the ending as is. Still, that would be cool .
One thing is for sure, it's going to have lots of dialogue, and that's something i look forward to.

It's possible that, in ramping up Priority: Earth, they are going to ramp up the ending, as well. I dunno, I'm kind of to the point where I just want whatever else that is coming to come already. If what we have for the ending is truly it, fine. Just, give me more Mass Effect!

No, the ending isn't so bad because of lack of time. It's so bad because of a lack of vision (or perhaps because of the so-called artistic integrity). The writers could've given the game a "simple" ending--maybe a suicide mission v2--and players would be happy. But instead, they opted for an ending in which your Shepard has to take an order from a Reaper in order to "win."
The idea of creating an expansion pack is interesting, but I don't see it happening. ME3 has four varied endings. And your Shepard certainly dies in 2 of them.

i dont understand awakening 2.0? what if there just sayin 8 writers as to increase hype? they certianly dont need 8 writers for squad based dialogue. btw where in the credits were it would say writers for dlc?

If I'm reading Jeff right, it's that more writers doesn't necessarily mean a larger piece of content, and that we shouldn't be expecting an expansion or DLC pack the size of Dragon Age Origins: Awakening just because it seems eight writers are working on it. There's not a set formula where x amount of writers produce y number of lines each, and it is possible that they're bringing some writers on just to maintain a consistent voice for some characters.

eagle, I saw credits scroll for From Ashes and Leviathan toward the end of ME3's scrolling, just as the DLCs were listed in ME2. Oddly, I saw no update for Omega. I was impressed however that Leviathan didn't seem to cause the music to eventually end while credits continued to roll, which was what happened after a while with ME2. Maybe the scrolling speed was increased slightly to compensate but Omega's credits weren't added because it'd be too much, but I thought it was required that these things be added, so I... don't know.
