I hope it's not $20. I'm fine with $15 (if it's amazing) or $10

Yeah, I've afforded myself a little excitement in seeing where this will go. Interesting indeed.

After all, Omega at one time sounded like it could be quite exciting as well (OmgHub! Think of the possibilities!).
It will be interesting to see what they're cooking up, but excitement seems premature.

Sam Hulick usually comes in for the ''bigger'' or ''special'' things, like the extended cut.
Leviathan and Omega both lacked the emotional oomph that say Tuchanka or Rannoch provided. Maybe they will be bringing more heart to the next DLC or it's ME2 squad DLC. Maybe it's a Priority Earth "expansion" or perhaps it's all hands on deck to blow out the final SP DLC. I suppose we will know in a couple of months.
I appreciate that a lot of work seems to be going into the next DLC and maybe once we find out what it is I can get excited about it.

Good thinking, iakus. Especially since you have more issues with ME3 than I do, I'd definitely remain more cautious if I were in your boat. (This is by no means meant as an insult, I've always thought you were pretty cool, regardless of all that senseless GameFAQs rabble various posters over there have thrown at you, haha. Just an observation. I'd temper myself as much as possible if I felt as you do about things.)

I wonder, if this DLC's going to be bigger then Omega, or the same size.
Well, strictly speaking it pretty much can't be any bigger in terms of file size, but there are a lot of ways to stretch 2GB and the devs have stated they're getting better and better at it. That said, Omega's various combat maps must have eaten up quite a bit of space, because while I've enjoyed it, I didn't feel there were very many cutscenes or prerendered pieces or even a great deal of conversations. The cutscenes were front-loaded and gorgeous, but they only lasted so long. Those things are notorious for being huge though, so I'm sure that's where a good third of the size is, heh.
Content-wise, which is probably what you meant but I'm covering all ground? Yeah, I don't know. If nine writers and three composers are involved, I'm sort of expecting less combat than Omega so that there's more space for all that glorious writing. Which is, and I think I speak for the majority of us here, just fine by me and indeed most of the more hardcore Mass Effect fandom.
We should also consider that alternatively everyone is involved in this DLC because it's the last one and there's nothing else for them to do at current, but I'm not sure how much I believe that considering wouldn't it be easier to just... not hire Sam Hulick for it and save money? Or four or five of the nine writers and again, save money? So I don't know, it's possible, and it's something to help temper expectations with. But I kind of am expecting something above the cut at this point. If I don't get it, but it's still good, I won't regret the purchase but I'll be slightly confused.

And rightly so if it doesn't deliver. I loved Omega, but the lack of hub makes is overpriced to me. I still honestly can't believe this happened, people kept asking for another hub since the game released and adding at least a small hub to Omega after the story finishes seemed like a complete no-brainer to everyone on BSN.Ghost1017 wrote...

Well duh, while omega is on the edge of expansion money territory, 20 is right inside it.
For 20 they'd have to make a much stronger arguement for sale than the pitiful job they did with omega.
