Yeah, Sam is fantastic in my opinion as well. Regardless, I'm excited to hear more of his work.

Good thinking, iakus. Especially since you have more issues with ME3 than I do, I'd definitely remain more cautious if I were in your boat. (This is by no means meant as an insult, I've always thought you were pretty cool, regardless of all that senseless GameFAQs rabble various posters over there have thrown at you, haha. Just an observation. I'd temper myself as much as possible if I felt as you do about things.)

Well, as you can see from my sig, I found my closure, even if I had to look elsewhere for it ;)

Just that while having all these writers on board piques the curiosity, we have no idea what's being done.  Remember how eager people were for Arrival?  Turned out a lot of people were disappointed in it (me I didn't  think it was so awful, just disapointed at lack of VS cameo)

We can fill our heads with dreams of an expansion, or LI dlc, or Priority: Earth Enhanced Edition.  But if it turns out to be "Scan the Keepers Again DLC"  I can imagine poeple being way disappointed.

"Tossing in piano and muted strings for this one particular piece. High potential for tears. #ME3DLC"

ME DLC has not had the potential for tears sinse LotSB (at least for me). Now I'm intrigued.

MEHEM's quite an achievement in several ways. I'm glad you enjoy it!

Yeah, Arrival was OK. I definitely think it's the weakest of ME2's major DLC offerings, but I don't regret purchasing it and gladly play it every time I do a series run. I get what you mean though for sure. People will doubtless be disappointed depending on where this goes, so it's always a good idea to keep a level head.

Mass Effect 3: Mass Effect 4

It's the only thing I can possibly consider at this point. Seriously, nine writers, what the hell.

Hmm cool things, more complex level, new types of enemies, awesome armor sets, weapons, powers, characters, now I wonder could all of those be in this new DLC.

I would love 2 more DLCs... I don't wanna think Citadel DLC will be the last new mission I'll be able to use my Shep on :( The end feels close... :(

It just seems like a reasonable assumption.

Assuming this drops in February, that nearly runs out the year worth of content they had originally planned on.

If they're doing something big, it sounds like the sort of high note you'd typically want to go out on. Maybe they'll toss out another weapon or appearance pack afterward, but I can't see them going back in the trenches for another several months (I think they've been talking about this for a couple months already, so they must have started near or even before Leviathan's release).

But we won't know until we know.

I hope the Citadel relay opens, and we get to drive a tomkah through to the other side.

I want to see what's there... and then run it down!

Good luck trying to drive a tomkah in space :P

But yeah they sure are talking a lot about the next DLC. I hope this one will be more story/exploration driven just like Leviathan was than combat oriented like Omega. :)

What if, just what if they have 8 writers working on it because they're actually going to give the game a new ending.
Yeah I know thats not gonna happen :(

It's wishful thinking. God knows I want it to be.

But if twitter is to be believed, what kind of content could possibly require that many writers?

i'm more inclined to think it's something involving all of your squadmates, separated into chunks of content. I saw earlier that someone mentioned the possibility of your LI from ME2 joining, that sounds awesome and would make sense.

Or maybe they're really going through with ramping up priority earth, but probably going to keep the ending as is. Still, that would be cool .

One thing is for sure, it's going to have lots of dialogue, and that's something i look forward to.

It's possible that, in ramping up Priority: Earth, they are going to ramp up the ending, as well. I dunno, I'm kind of to the point where I just want whatever else that is coming to come already. If what we have for the ending is truly it, fine. Just, give me more Mass Effect!

i'll drink to that! /cheers

They sure are bringing some big guns for the next DLC. 20$ DLC confirmed. (Hope i'm wrong). :P

I hope it's not $20. I'm fine with $15 (if it's amazing) or $10

I suspect its going to be $20 for sure.(By the Eight, I'm hoping to be wrong).=]

Ill be willing to pay this only if it is a great dlc with little to no bugs.

Stop playing games with our hearts! My cautious optimism has escalated into fullblown "CAN WE JUST SKIP THE ANNOUNCEMENT AND PLAY THIS ALREADY" mode.

Sam Hulick usually comes in for the ''bigger'' or ''special'' things, like the extended cut. :)

Leviathan and Omega both lacked the emotional oomph that say Tuchanka or Rannoch provided.  Maybe they will be bringing more heart to the next DLC or it's ME2 squad DLC. Maybe it's a Priority Earth "expansion" or perhaps it's all hands on deck to blow out the final SP DLC. I suppose we will know in a couple of months.

I appreciate that a lot of work seems to be going into the next DLC and maybe once we find out what it is I can get excited about it.

Sam is my fave composer on ME as well, it sems he can do no wrong! :)
