I have to say I'm extremely excited by the recent news, something BIG is brewing in Edmonton.

I wonder if this DLC is what Mike Gamble alluded to WAY back in March. You know, that quote:

"Hardest. Day. Ever. Seriously, if you people knew all the stuff we are planning…you’d, well – hold onto your copy of Mass Effect 3 forever."

So far I haven't seen anything DLC-wise that matches this expectation. If this is a full on expansion...*melts from bliss*

Whatever it is, Bioware seems to be deliberately building up hype without giving away any real, telling information whatsoever about what we can actually expect. That said my expectations (and everyone elses) seem to be high. Have they ever done anything like this for other DLC in the past? (building up hype via twitter, that is)

The hype has been very minimal for ME3 DLC so far, even the MP stuff gets springed on us days before it releases. Leviathan and Omega received very little attention, Leviathan got a bit more of a lead up than Omega did but not by much. There's something different about this latest hype. They're up to something this time. Things usually get very quiet in late December though so hopefully we'll either hear more soon or we'll be forced to endure the holidays with a big "OMG WHAT ARE THEY DOING" question mark.

I can only hope that these will be tears of joy. After going through the ending once more this evening (due to adding Omega to my canon playthrough), I'm not sure how much durability this ol' ticker of mine has left. Posted Image

Sam Hulicks tweet about potential tears makes me wonder what scene or event his music will be attached to in the dlc! :)

Probably the new videos they're making of EDI and the geth all dying horribly in destroy.

It burns! It burns! Ahhhhhhh! *piano music*

Yes, because this game is all about those joyful moments, amirite? ;-)

I'm surprised you went all the way to the ending. Why not just stop somewhere before it all goes downhill? I know the second time I witnessed it, I concluded that it wasn't something that was going to get any better with time, so I've only forced myself to endure it once more (when the extended cut was released).

Anyone know why Joker, Liara and Jack were all together on Dec 2nd?

@devSin lol! That would suck, but I wonder what it could be. Bioware I will be waiting for more tweets!

We all know the music in ME3 was fantastic. Good news for any DLC.

I wonder if we might see two 10$ DLCs, a part one cliffhanger and then a part two that really finishes off the game with a bang. Would be a way around the Size Limit.

Probably something to do with the VGAs. Or they might have just become friends after ME2 and 3.

Whatever it is, I hope it's as good as the david track remix they had in leviathan. That track made me choke up a little.

Some of the wishlists of posters may require a patch to main game before DLC. Is it maybe possible the DLC is next year but a patch is incoming that adds some new stuff before. The glitches in Omega have not been commented on so maybe patch fixes them as well. Games today seem to get huge patches could this be way around 2gb limit on dlc.

If ME3 won GOTY (which it probably won't) they might show a trailer or drop hints for the next DLC. Or they might even start to respect their fans and thank them for voting for the game by making an ending DLC.

I voted for ME3 to win the Spike GOTY because I actually want to see if they make a DLC we want to say thank you.

Why does 'respecting the fans' require an ending DLC? Who says fans even want an ending DLC? All fans? Which fans? Can't respect exist independently of sharing creative control? More importantly, doesn't respect extend both ways? Frankly, I'd find it really hard to respect *anybody* who reacted the way some did to ME3, to the point of abusing developers on Twitter for months.

I mean you'd think ME3 would win Game of the Year awards (as it has started doing) on its own merits, not because of your convoluted rationale of voting for it to send a signal that you want more DLC. The most obvious explanation for the game winning a popular vote is that enough people actually like it enough to consider it the best game of the year.

Totally agree, I always wondered what he referred to in that quote. Surely it couldn't have been Levi or Omega. ;)

Which fans?

This fan!

But it's undoubtedly all according to plan by this point, so unless they originally planned for some ending content (which they clearly and repeatedly said was not going to happen), it's just going to be a big story piece about some unresolved issue or bit of lore that has been built up over the years.

It'd be nice to think there could be some further intention to address the issues with the ending, but I'm not sure how anybody could reasonably believe it is something that is ever going to happen at this point.

I think we've learned by now that Mike simply suffers from a faulty hype regulator.

There's no master plan. Just a lot of content he believed would be cool and worthy of you not trading in your game the day after you finished it (content including Leviathan, Omega, and the MP expansions, as well as this upcoming "Citadel" DLC).

Well, Mike Gamble works in the marketing, so he wouldn't tell you: "We're going to develop 'standard' quality DLC packs; therefore, feel free to sell your copy of the game to someone else."

Or they are working on the Romance DLC, which would explain the many writers and the need for tearjerking music.

Yeah, but Sascha and Chris usually did action and mystery tunes. So if anything, then this DLC is likely to contain action because of Chris and Sascha and deep emotions because of Sam. So maybe something that includes romance.

the amount of writers, dose not normally mean more content, you can easily make great dlc with just two people, maybe they just need more help with level design or maybe adding some ideas to story.

I think getting exited so early is not logical, just have to wait and see what happends otherwise we will get more angry people because the dlc is not what they wanted.

Which probably means Kimberly Brooks (Ashley) will also be doing VA.
