You've made a very good point, ElitePinecone. However, I implied in the post you quoted that the assertion is based on my experience of working in business. Not in the video games industry, though.

Anyway, having hard data at your disposal doesn't necessarily guarantee that you will make the right decision. And speaking of making right decisions, EA's stocks are traded for less than $15 a share, which is even worse performance than during the peak of the recession in 2009.

They worked on something with the VGAs but most expect it to be just one of those video sketches with Shep for Best Character category and maybe some videos for GOTY category. Nothing else.

I would be really susprised if they teased next DLC at the VGAs, it's way too soon after Omega to me.

Yeah this. If anything EA wants to show it's bigger titles. 
I'd expect DA3, or even TOR content (seeing as it's an MMO). ME3 DLC? Not enough money comes in for that kind of advertisment.

Not really, AC3 DLC and Halo 4: Spartan Ops will have trailers at this year's VGAs so it's not unusual to promote DLC. I just think it's way too soon after Omega released. But maybe I'm wrong, we'll see tomorrow

If this unannounced DLC is the final SP DLC (I hope it's not the very next DLC, I'm hoping for at least one more before the last) then it makes sense that everyone is on board to make it because I'm predicting that this is going to be the payoff: playing all of the SP DLC plus the final one will make possible a new best ending in which you defeat the Reapers the old fashioned way, go have a bunch of blue kids, and retire on the new Krogan home world as an honorary Krogan, actual battle master, and revered hero.
If you have missed some or all SP DLC, then the new ending is modified accordingly, much as how the ending of ME2 depended on how loyal your teammates were, whom you chose to perform which role, and how quickly you went to save your crew.

I'm betting it'll be a trailer about ME3 in general and than at the last few seconds they'll have a single still picture of what's going to be in the dlc with a "what's next?" caption, like leviathan and omega had.

Also, if jos ever comes back and reads this message, can you tell me what mac walters role in the new dlc is, as in if he's leading the writing or just writing for the characters he wrote for in ME3, that would put a lot of debate to rest.

Only if he could answer of course, a simple I can't say would be good enough for me.
