Well, there won't be any Reapers in the next DLC.

It's funny how boring the temporary names of the Mass Effect tracks are before they're titled. "Reaper Crush." Sounds like a soft drink. - Sam Hulick

Does this mean we will be seeing more Reapers in the upcoming dlc??

No. :) "Reaper Crush" was from the ME3 Extended Cut. - Sam Hulick

I don't think Sam meant to imply there would be no Reapers. Just that it wasn't a new track.

I would point out that mass effect 1 had autodialouge disguised as a chooseable response, but that would just add fuel to a flamewar I don't want and derail this thread farther.

So, have a tully post.

For new followers: a handful of my music can be had via Bandcamp: http://samhulick.bandcamp.com .

If you follow the link, you'll find a 4-track album and one single track called "Shepard's Return". The description says, it's been released on Feb 11th 2011, but still: Why advertise this now...? Coded message re DLC?

Well, I doubt it, but it's funny to regard it as a clue.

Wait, at what part? Just out of curiosity, could someone ask him what part was that used? I can only think about the Reaper crushing the Alliance cruiser, after Shep gets to the beam.

Sam replied saying that this was the track. I think it plays when Hackett learns that Shepard was able to use the Conduit.

Figured as much. There's an alternate version of that, that plays only in low EMS campaigns, it's more desperate :D

What outfit is Liara wearing? I don't recognise that one.

Edit:

Oh it's her Collectors Edition one, I've just never used it because I never realised how kick ass it was.

I think even for conspiracy buffs that's taking it a bit far :P

He released that in 2011 quite a while before he even knew that he'd be involved in ME3's music - it was composed as a suggestion of what he'd like to do, if he was ever again involved in the project. The title is just a reference to seeing Shepard returning for ME3.

They put an unused track from ME1 in ME3.

It is, isn't it. I can hear some echoes of the main theme in there, which is always nice.

I think it works much better as a cutscene track though, it's the kind of thing I could see in a scene that mirrors the first shot of ME1 - Shepard walking along the Normandy as the main theme plays.

We know Sam is doing some combat music and one hopefully-tear-inducing piece for the new DLC, which should be interesting.
