I'd like to be pleasantly surprised, but I think the only surprise I'll be getting is that the DLC is even lower than my already abysmal expectations.
I don't expect anything more than "more 'useful war assets' to launch in the final fight against the Reapers!" and a storyline that does nothing to change anything, thus really having no effect on the game.

Neither did any of the ME2 DLC, exept for the squadmates. It was still good.fiendishchicken wrote...
I have no belief that this dlc will be anything but worse than what we've got already.

Why does this fact absolve ME2 dlc quality and content?

Any sign of The Tease?
We're not likely to be talking much about the next DLC till around the middle of next month when the content is better locked. Obviously that could change and be a little earlier or later, but as a rough guideline, mid-Feb or so.

People are a lot more forgiving when they can assume that the (possibly mediocre) content is to set up an epic sequel. Why does this fact absolve ME2 dlc quality and content?
It doesn't absolve ME2 DLC but it does explain why people are complaining now.
And no one wanted to believe

It's not that long to wait, tis only a week to go till the end of Jan, and he did say it could be earlier or later, so if it locks down right smack in themiddle of Feb, it's still only 19 days away, not long at all tbh.

Because of the way the game was framed.
ME 2 side missions were basically left up to the player to decide when to do them. It was that opening that made it feel like it was ok for them to not affect as much since they were pocket stories.
Zaeed and Kasumi could be used in the end mission, for either good or hillarious* results. Overlord, SB, could be completed after if you felt like that suited the story best. Or you could try and do them before the SM and get a bit more information from them, like the dossiers.
However ME3 basically tries to frame everything as 'DO THIS FOR ASSETS' and then we are never shown what those assets really do.
By having pocket stories in a narrative that is more end game bassed you somewhat expect them to eventually do something for you at the end, besides becoming a generic number. If not they don't feel right, like Omega did unless you play it right after the thing, and even then it doesn't affect much.
* Who else let Zaeed take the lead just to see one of his last man standing stories in action.

...? Are you saying that if you take him with you on the suicide mission in ME2, he has some specific dialogue? If so, I might just have to give that a go!Fawx9 wrote...
