Wonder how far they are if the music is done and the composing takes place after the game is done (or that's what I gathered from reading the above posts!)..

Oh guys, I really need a DLC (announcement, at least) to get me fired up again for ME3. It's true I didn't have time to play it, but I want my passion re-lightened

Well I'd imagine that they're pretty much done with the DLC if the music is also done. They need to make music that fits the DLC.

I think the DLC is almost practically finished, since they are apparently looking for bugs and the music's done. So I'd say it shouldn't take too much longer...
Chris said it won't be more locked-down until at least mid-Feb.
It probably will take a little bit longer after that to declare it completely finished, then there's a certification period of anywhere between a few weeks and a month and a half.
I'd guess don't expect it before at least mid-March, possibly early April.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I was talking about the teaser and not the actual DLC.ElitePinecone wrote...

I think when Mike Gamble teased a teaser people expected he had it in his back pocket.

Oh! Chris also said expect a teaser later into Feb (around mid-Feb, when the game is more locked down). It's in the dev posts on this thread if you search back a bit.

Yeah, pretty much.

As others here already said I too think that they are gonna aim for a Anniversary release (March 07).ElitePinecone wrote...

I doubt that the teaser gets released at mid-Feb because Chris said in his post that it could be earlier than that so it could be a week prior to this estimated mid-Feb date for the Teaser. I also doubt that they would wait till April to relase it because it seems to be pretty much finished and April is a long way to go.
I say March 07 and at the latest March 14

The DLC could be "finished" tomorrow, but it still needs to be sent to Microsoft, Sony and EA's internal teams for certification. That takes a couple of weeks at a minimum, judging from previous DLC packs. It's largely out of Bioware's hands once the console manufacturers are dealing with it.
Even then, Chris said mid-Feb was a guide to content being "more locked down" - he said nothing about it being actually finished then.

I´d say mid March at the latest because everything after that would be way too far away

Wasn't the trailer of Omega released only a couple of weeks before the actual release? I can´t remember exactly.
Unfortunatley not, the Omega trailer was released 1 day before the actual DLC was released, which in hindsight, should've rang some alarm bells.

Ah so that means that if they release a trailer in mid-Feb then it would work for them to release the actual DLC in early March.dead_goon wrote...

Not like others said in April at the soonest.

There's no way they'll hold the DLC back for 6 weeks after the trailers been released, Mike Gamble teased Leviathan content about 2 weeks before it's release, about a week later we got the actual Leviathan trailer, then the following week we got Leviathan itself, any longer than that and the risk of leaks wrecking the DLC is just far too great.
Once we get the trailer for the next DLC, the actual DLC itself will not be far behind.

Omega was announced around 6 weeks before it was released. But you're right, when a trailer is released, you know the dlc is about a week away. Hopefully they'll announce this DLC like they did the multiplayer dlcs and only have to wait a week rather than a whole month.
