That´s just one of the locations for that DLC and it does not mean that our Shepard spends the whole DLC relaxing. Mabye this is Shepard and as example for a possible squadmate Wrex. So they are looking for evidences to whatever and therefore they have to go into that "casino".

Just because R&R was used in the tweet does not mean that its just about resting and stuff. I mean if it is a pre ending DLC (which it pretty sure is) then there is no time to relax when the Reapers are destroying the galaxy <_<

IMO Mass Effect 2's story structure was *much* more conducive to DLC and other side content, because in-universe it practically encouraged Shepard to take things slow and gather information/resources - there wasn't that pervading tone of "omg Reapers drop everything now billions of people are dying".

The self-contained, episodic mission structure also meant new DLC adventures could slot into the narrative easily (the comparison with a TV season is good) and there certainly wasn't that sense of detachment from the rest of the story that I've got with every single bit of ME3 DLC so far, except for From Ashes.

We don't know yet what this DLC's story is, or whether it will affect anything else in the game, but even if it's a well-made piece of content set in unique and interesting locations, that sense of "why bother" *is* going to be a problem if the story feels tacked-on to the main game, or dissonant with its themes of constant war and destruction.

(I suppose it was a risk that was always possible with a game that had a stronger central narrative instead of ME2's individual character-based stories, but the pointlessness of Leviathan and Omega to the universe as a whole really was jarring, even more so if nothing Mass Effect-related is ever going to be set chronologically after ME3.)

I concur. Though I have to say that I'm fully active on BSN again when I saw the next DLC rumours, I hope they are great, and like you I don't expect to much but still..

Who says this is the last dlc? There should be at least 2 more on the way. VOs were in studio way back in late October doing voice work. Then in December it was announced that all writers were on deck to pen the next script. How do you do record lines for a dlc that had not been written at the time?
