Who says this is the last dlc? There should be at least 2 more on the way. VOs were in studio way back in late October doing voice work. Then in December it was announced that all writers were on deck to pen the next script. How do you do record lines for a dlc that had not been written at the time?

While I'd greatly love there to be more and more single player DLC, it was announced a couple weeks ago that the Mass Effect team had met for the last time. Some developers are moving on to Mass Effect 4, some are moving on the Dragon Age III. Sadly, this seems more and more to be the final Mass Effect 3 content. Which means that Dragon Age III is getting closer. ;)

I think Bioware Montreal might surprise us with some smaller dlcs, since they are in the very early stages of pre-production for the new ME-game. Their programmes might make smaller SP dlcs (if their writers have the time and energy to lend a hand) beside the MP ones. We'll see. But the Edmonton team has finished working on ME in general. So there will be no more huge SP dlc-s. That's for sure.

I believe you're right. But I have one question, simply out of curiosity: Steamrolled? What on earth is that?

Posted Image

Steamrolled:
1. To be wiped out very quickly without any pause in the attack.
2. Rapid, continuous destruction, often with a certain destination in mind.
3. An incredibly quick, very destructive lost that often seems comical

So, say for example, if someone were to post a topic saying that all women in the game including Asari should be excluded from multiplayer because females should not fight wars, that suggestion would probably be shot down extremely quickly.

Is then the person, or the topic, steamrolled?

We digress. OT, it would be nice with another relaxation-place, like the Presidium. I'm seriously hoping for the return of the Quasar.

Bioware Montreal are also lending Edmonton a hand with DA3.

Frankly I'd expect ME3's DLC content to be over after this impending one. It looks like Edmonton are all moving on to Casey's new IP, DA3 or the next ME, and Montreal are in pre-production for the next ME and helping out on DA3. IMO not a lot of space in there for a DLC team, especially for a game that's almost a year old.

Ah, yes, of course, a game that's a year old must, by contemporary mainstream standards, be considered 'ancient'.

If you'd like to produce statistics that make it worthwhile for developers to keep making content a year after release - that show a market for DLC is big enough to justify the cost - I'm sure EA would be happy to hear from you.

As it is, they have information we're never going to get, and clearly the business case isn't there to keep making DLC forever. It's probably considered more effective to divert those team members towards the next full games. but we don't have the numbers and knowledge to judge it. It's hardly sensible to question the actions of the publisher when we know literally nothing about the basis on which they make decisions - and they're never going to tell us.

I wish Bioware could make another few DLC packs, sure, but what fans want rarely coincides with what the publisher is able or willing to do. If there's no market there after a year to justify the cost of making it, or if they'd make more money in the long run by sending ME3 team members to make DA3 more shiny, how or why should we question that?

What really gets me is people are starting to come around to the "endings" just out of a lack of alternatives, or will even go so far to say that they were GOOD (which if you have taken even ONE college level english course in your life you would know that they are indeed VERY bad).

You claim that your college eductaion allows you to see that the endings are objectively bad, but then you support an ending where the crucible is merely a convenient instant-win button. You only need to take a middle-school english course to see the irony there.

A friend of mine who majored in english lit quite enjoyed the ending. She even thought the original was better than the extended cut. When I told her some of the things haters have said, she just shook her head and asked why I bother coming to this forum.

Maybe haters would appreicate the ending more if they took a collge level physics course, since ME3 uses real science to inspire it's story and themes, as many good pieces of science fiction do... I think it's fair to say that a university qualification doesn't automically make your viewpoint correct. It doesn't even make you especially intelligent, only able to jump through all the hoops and pass exams.

This thread is for twitter posts not discussions about the validity of the endings. Just make a post in the story forums and i'll be happy too "test" the application of real science your friend attributes too the colourful beams. Should make for a fun discussion.Posted Image

Surprised one really important question hasn't been asked. Namely that we got appearance pack before Omega, so can we please get new casual appearance pack since it's R&R dlc. My Shep needs new outfit (not to mention a non Cerberus outfit for Miranda).

I heard a rumors, that in july 2013, Multiplayer will gone offline, and will be no more DLC. Too bad, there is no official information about this rumors, and trolls gone wild really.

So great, after writing I'd need a teaser to get hyped again, guess what: it came :D

You guys sure this will be the last SP DLC? I'd be a sad panda if it were :(

I know this thread is for tweets on ME3 and its DLC, but as we don't have anywhere for tweets on MENext yet...

From @YanickRRoy:

[link]  I obviously cannot say too much at this point, but looking at your questions/suggestions from the last couple of months I will say this:

[link] It feels good that most of what you are suggesting/requesting is perfectly aligned with what the team is discussing and shooting for!

Then start a MENext thread bud, mixing tweets regarding MENext in with tweets regarding ME3 will just lead to confusion. Posted Image

R&R - I didn't take Hudson's statement literally, though it is likely we may find crew members and other characters on R&R in that level just as we found them throughout the main game. I really don't see Hackett sending Shepard an email ordering him/her to the Citadel for rest and relaxation. It's most likely a R&R level Shepard will go through while investigating the Keepers or whatever in this (99.999% certain to be) pre-ending DLC.

From the 2nd link:

Lázaro Pires@MyobiPT

@YanickRRoy Please do tell me that the possibility of having a DAO style character customization is on the table.

Yanick Roy@YanickRRoy

@MyobiPT What aspect of DAO's system are you referring to?

That seems to imply that parts of the "DAO style character customization" is being considered, which I guess would be either different races or different backgrounds. Interesting! :)

I think Yanick means to ask: "what aspect of the DAO character creator is different from ME?"

Not sure where you got that from, but no, take a look at the latest comments (or sub-tweets or whatever they're called :P):

MyobiPT
@YanickRRoy Race & Background selection, giving our character a different start =P Just bloody loved it in DAO.

YanickRRoy
@MyobiPT Not off the table, but ME not having a silent protagonist would make it much more complicated than in DAO... #keepfingerscrossed

I'm not yet sure if I'd prefer to have a choice of race in the next Mass Effect game, but it's certainly interesting to think about :) but even if it happened, I'd reckon we wouldn't have more than 3 races to choose from.

Just make it Council Races. Salarians, Turian, Asari, Human. THat is more than adequate and they could get away with the same voice actor for each race and respective gender.
