Priestly has a repeated habit of lying when it comes to upcoming content.

- Javik - after Origin leaked it would be a bonus PROTHEAN squadmate, Priestly denied that it was a mistake and that the Prothean was not a bonus squadmate.

- Garrus - after the medal leaks for ME2 and people said that Archangel was Garrus, Priestly denied it.

- Legion - same as above. Denied Geth squadmate.

- Kasumi - denied Kasumi after people dug up her files in ME2

In this case, I'll believe that this isn't post endgame though.

It's his job to bullsh!t people and he's doing it rather well. I, for one, don't believe a damn thing that he says, I prefer seeing stuff when it happens.

Indeed, his job as "Community co-ordinator" is to "manage the community", and an important part is to prevent spoilers getting out that could spoil someone's enjoyment of the game. Disinformation is a part of managing speculation.

Saying "wait and see" instead of outright lying would be better for his reputation. Now noone a bit savvy believes a word he posts.

Well, yes. Talking up the game is their job, after all, and we don't have to read it - let alone believe any of the positivity, if you're that way inclined.

I'll admit that I'm more wary about ME's DLC in general, after Omega, given the chasm between what marketing/press previews built up and what that pack actually delivered for all of its crazily-expensive $15.

That certainly doesn't mean the next DLC can't improve on Omega's weaknesses, nor that it won't be an interesting concept. At the very least I'm keeping an open mind, but I probably won't rush out to buy it on day one without reading any press reviews beforehand.

Agreed. Proper management doesn't involve lying to your client but telling as much information as you can without actually telling them anything.

"Can't comment. Sorry."

Or just don't say anything. Lock the thread with simply "LOCKDOWN". No reason whatsoever to lie.

By the way, Bioware didn't deny the existence but they denied that he was the DLC. It's just an indication of him lying.

The rest - I'm not digging through ME2 forums years ago (and they maybe gone regardless) to find it. Ask anyone whose been around for a couple of years.

Guys, don't hype yourself up too much, or you may end up being sorely disappointed when the DLC is released in several weeks. Remember what we had been told about ME3 before it was released.

There was a good list of all the lies, but someone who didn't like it has already deleted it.: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/10056886

However, it's still available via Google at the following link:
social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/10056886

This may be one of the last chances to take a look at the list before it's gone from this site forever...

I followed that Google cache link. A lot of the supposed lies there are simply true. A couple are subject to easy misinterpretation, but aren't lies per se.

Don't kid yourself into believing that's accurate.

The OP didn't even know if any of those quotes were accurate and a lot of his quotes are out of context. The most used A,B,C one for example completely misses out the second paragraph.

No it really doesn't because theres no context, the only thing that implies is she charged something she shouldn't have, which could just have easily been a Banshee she'd just bounced off.

Hence the 'nocontext' hashtag they put. It's all fun for them ^_^

Generally, whenever BioWare hypes something, the quality of the thing they are hyping is inversely proportional to the amount of hype.

Example: Leviathan didn't receive that much hype, and turned out to be quite good - better than ME3 even, some would say. Omega, on the other hand, was hyped close to hypeothermic death and, well, wasn't even remotely as appreciated as Leviathan.

Perhaps you could point out which of the "supposed lies" aren't in fact lies?

Each of the quotes links to a page where you can read the whole interview; therefore, you can get the context if you wish.

By the way, this is the second paragraph of the quote you mentioned:
"It’s more like there are some really obvious things that are different and then lots and lots of smaller things, lots of things about who lives and who dies, civilizations that rose and fell, all the way down to individual characters. That becomes the state of where you left your galaxy..."

It merely adds redundant information, but it doesn't refute the first paragraph, in which Casey said that the game wouldn't feature a typical A, B, or C choice of endings, which it did.

That sounds highly equivocational, and somewhat fallacious.

I can't really see any proof to what your claiming, since from what I rememeber, bioware didn't hype up omega much at all. Most of it was from the bsn after they found out there would be a female turian.

If anything leviathan did in fact have more hype, or the same hype, as omega did.

What you seem to have done with your statement was taken what the BSN  does on it's own, and equated that to what bioware does in it's releases, which doesn't seem logical to me.

Of course this is all my subjective opinion based on my own observations, so I may be in error here. Regardless, we need more tweets and asap, so let's see what jessica is saying next.
