Omega would've been so much more interesting if we'd got an insight into Aria's background as Aleena or rivalry with Wrex, rather than a pretty generic war story.

Buh. Don't suppose that plotline will ever be addressed again anyway, so it's a bit moot. 

I'm kind of glad that they didn't force it. They hinted it in ME2, and that's enough. Otherwise it would be another example for the small galaxy-syndrome in which the whole trilogy suffers (especially the 2nd game). Plust it would be pretty strange, since Aria is quite secretive about her past. She hardly tells us anything about Nyreen.

It would have been nice if they added a bit of esoteric lore flavoring though: some new secrets revealed about the old mining station, which would connect it to the reapers or protheans, or more focus on Cerberus' doings on the other side of the Omega-4 relay.

After seeing this post, I thought i'd give it a try too (I had no idea what to expect). I was expecting some cosplay pictures, perhaps along the lines of the excellent Liz from Bioshock. But I now see what Patrick was getting at in his tweets. "Samantha Traynor Cosplay" is clearly a Google search failure...

He mentioned DLC. I don't think writing about upcoming DLC could be related to anything but ME3.

I believe he was in the writing team for the DLC, so his tweets are justified. Besides, people are looking for anything to satisfy their impatience.
