Whereas the Extended Cut was designed to provide clarification, Leviathan was designed to provide precedence.

So it doesn't change the endings - if it is nothing BEYOND the endings or a plot twist to them, or SOMETHING remotely related to them, then frankly, you're wasting development dollars better spent on something else.

The sound of money entering bank accounts contradicts this.

It won't be any of mine if it at least doesn't add the closure we were promised in the EC (and didn't get) to high-EMS Destroy. Ambiguous endings are bulls***. That is my opinion and I really don't care what anyone else's is.

- A post from Chris did give me a little more hope for this DLC, however. I'll link it for those that haven't seen it. It was just the way he worded it, Idk. Am I indoctrinated? :o

- I know it isn't Twitter related and I hope it doesn't send the topic off-track.

No, someone with an opinion. There are a lot of those floating around and I only care about my own.

Interesting but I'll wait until fan reviews come out before purchasing.  I still haven't bought any SP DLC other than the firepower pack which unlocked the Harrier among other weapons.

'Deal with it', he says, as if it were an order.

On the contrary, I'm more than pleased to know you can form your own opinions, and feel strongly about them.

Of course, it is an entirely different issue when one's pride gets in the way of appreciating the value of the opinions others may have, as well. But, alas, human beings.

I didn't say I don't respect the opinions of others. I will end this by saying that I will try to keep an open mind for this DLC. Now, let's not get this thread locked.

- You're right, the "deal with it" comment gets tossed around too much and was harsh, I'll edit it.

Just a question, for finding out tweets on upcoming DLC, who should I look to first [as in, which place is usually the most informative], Bioware's official one or one of the developers' (ie, Hudson)?

Devs, man.  Mike Gamble, Casey Hudson, Chris Priestly, and anyone else on the team.

We have said since Extended Cut that new DLC will not change the endings. That's all I can really say now. More detail next week.

----------------------------------------------

In their opinions, when does the "Ending" begin is a question I would like to ask.  Does it begin with the "last choice" or does it begin during another mission before said choice?(obviously keeping it un-spoilered)

You can "add" stuff to the ..... beginning of the endings... but I guess it would depend on when those begin.

An odd statement.

Why can't he talk about the endings unless the DLC does something to them?

Do you remember when they said theres no multiplayer, and no permanent squad mates. I've learned that until you've seen the product you can trust their words just about as far as you can throw them.

While a fair bit of skepticism is a natural reaction considering Bioware's track record, many of those "lies" were well before the game was finished, and it's natural in game development for plans to change. Some content may be cut, some added, others re-done, et cetera, provided the time. So, for example, the plan was originally, not to have multiplayer, but they delayed the game and it was then added.

However, we are about a week to reveal, and my guess would be less than a month for it's release. All signs point to it being done, with it either in very late bug fixing or in certification. Many of the writers and creators moved to other projects, and there is pretty much no way to change the DLC in any significant way. So when they say it's not ending related, they know. To believe anything else is a fool's errand.

Also the thread where they don't belong.
Any more discussion about the ending and nothing twitter related is going to get the thread locked.
We were warned about 3 pages ago.

Maybe the statement is:
*There is no new ending content (However this can be disputed as we don't know the context. They could, however, still at stuff in between the story that can change the ending dramatically by fixing possible plot holes. No need to change the endings when you're doing stuff like that).
* Other information about the DLC will be talked about later.

I hope they fix the "Why the Catalyst did nothing during ME1" plothole. If they don't, I'll see less of a point in playing ME4, since there's less care in the lore apparently.

Awesome job biower

They said that they would announce the DLC next week, not this one. I love how the community gets it's hopes up when there's no confirmation then blames Bioware.

Hehehe, yeah, come on guys lets all be keen peeps and watch the asteroid fly by in the mean time :):o^_^

Peace

He's under an NDA, preventing him from saying anything about the DLC. Even telling us "no, the new DLC won't change the ending" would be a violation of said NDA. So the only thing he can tell us about it affecting the endings is repeating the official statement that they're done with them.

Relax, people, only a few more days... gonna be a busy week, with the next-gen being revealed as wellB)

I think this was explained with Anderson during the whole Citadel part. He said the walls were shifting and moving, so perhaps the Catalyst was hidden all this time.

Anyway, I can't wait for more info on this DLC. But I'm expecting dissapointment. Not that I think it will be crap, but just not what I'm hoping for. Then again, I'm not a very nitpicky person.

It's going to be the greatest DLC of all time. Better than Shivering Isles, Awakening and all the map packs ever released for any game ever combined. BEcause it's ME3 (maybe) final DLC

Perhaps you missed the announcment but ME4 is not in any way being related at all to 1, 2 & 3. Its not even being called "4." Its basically a reboot of the ME galaxy. Different races, tech, (no relays since no Reapers), completely different lore, etc....

Damn I can´t wait :( Hopefully the release date is gonna near or on March 6. I would be pretty shocked if we had to wait till April for that DLC as that would be pretty long ... seriously they should release it sooner than later.

Given how closely there holding this DLC to there chests, i wouldn't 100% count on it being next week, there being unusually cagey this time around, just figure it'll be before the end of the month.
