^ I"m curious to find out just how they compiled some of those statistics.
I mean seriously..... EDI and James are more popular with fans than Tali or Kaidan?

^Pretty sure it's based on how many missions you play with them.

And you get Kaidan and Tali in late middle of game.

So you're unable to play with them for good portion of the game, so it gives huge boost for EDI and James.
Plus they're very useful squadmates.

You have to take into account that Tali, Ash, and Kaidan have the potential to become squadmates at the tail end of the game's second act. EDI, James, Garrus, and Liara are going to have more usage because you have access to them pretty early on.

Ash is the default VS for Male Shepard playthroughs, considering that 82% of people who played ME3 were Male Shepard it makes sense that she's appearing in more playthroughs than Kaidan.

^ Hmmm yeah that would make somewhat more sense, if it was based on the number of missions that those characters could be taken on (since those four at the top are more or less available from the beginning of the game).

Though I also can't help but laugh at the fact that according to those "stats" Ashley's survival rate is almost 4 times greater than Kaidan's.... I guess sex really does sell, after all. :P (though that could also be due to the number of people playing MaleShep VS FemShep, as well)

Indeed. I'm still in shock abt that. I can't believe the thought to leave Tali out of ME3 even crossed their mind.

Oh, wow. 82% of the players have never heard Jennifer Hale voicing Commander Shepard. That, to me, is the biggest loss in those statistics.

3/4 of players save Ash instead of Kaidan, and Tali had one of the lower survival rates of Suicide Mission in ME2. Add the 'siding with Geth' option in ME3 and you can clearly get how EDI and Vega who are plot armored all up until Harby's beam are used more. Garrus has plot armor in ME3 too actually. And he had high survival rate in ME2 (Tali was in the Engineering which depepned on ship upgrades, many people forgot about that)

That was because the number of casual players were much bigger than the fanbase, after all ME3 was advertised both to the fanbase and the common players. Hence why most pleople didn't met Wrex or soldier was the most played class and et cetera.

Yep, also there's folks who started the trilogy with ME2...which means Wrex = dead

Point taken.

On the other hand. I gotta hand it to the MP crowd. We've kicked a lot of reaper ass.

You would be surprised at the number of people who bought ME2 used instead of new. Which means no comic and no Wrex.

Here's the real question which is NOT addressed in that infographic:

How many people chose each of the 4 endings in ME3?

It's funny how marketing and PR are too scared to even mention the endings.

I did. I mean all you had to do was reload and limp back.

I do hope in the future accessing diff endings won't be that easy.

I hope they manage to weave smaller choices and interactions you've had thru out the game together to create a distinct, earned, ending. So, if you really wanna see the other conclusions, you'd have to go a good ways back in the game. And adjust accordingly.

ME3 did have thematically diff endings. And I could pick any one I wanted. In the future I, personally, would like it to be One ending, but one ending that is more cumulative of lil things I did, or did not do, thru out the game. So that I'm stuck w/ that ending cuz of whatever I did way back in Act 2. Lol. That's more what I think of when I think of "endings based on my choices".

So, we'll see.

/derailing

LOL! That's not likely to happen. The hate it would generate ... just think about that for a minute. I'd avoid that statistic like plague, if I were anyone at Bioware.

What does it matter now that the book on ME3 is closed? It's not like we have to worry about DLC sales or anything else. I'm genuinely curious to see what the spread was instead of listening to the BSN make wild guesses about what was the most popular choice.

I'd like to see statistics on the final choice, too. What's the harm in showing us that? The next ME game won't be (most likely) set in the near future.

Private detective? I'd be interested in that!

That's...

A pretty ****ing good idea.

Easy. Create a story about a elcor detective who has a Yahg as partner

Mark Meer can voice both :D
