Man if I had the spare money, I'd order those comics, they look so cool.

By the way, Anderson was born in London, did you know that? I sure didn't!

Maybe he's a dual citizen or something. I mean if he lived there most of his life, he'd have an accent. However, he doesn't have an accent.

Some people are born in a country, but are raised in another, thus may not develop an accent of sorts.

I think it's an inside joke. I'm pretty sure Anderson tells Shepard, at least twice, that he was born in London lol.

Anderson: Shepard
Shepard: yea?
Anderson: London is where i was born and raised
at big ben is where i spent most of my days
chillin out maxin relaxin all cool
shootin some turians right outside the school
when a couple of recruiters who were up to no good
startin recruiting in my neiborhood
i signed one little paper and my mom got scared
she said "i just pray to god you dont get shot in the head"
i looked for a shuttle and when it came near
the identification said arcturus with fuzzy volus in the mirror
after some years i was the first N7 graduate here
as shepard looked at me confused to what I mentioned
I yelled loud as hell that I was born in london!

Shepard: O_o really?

This is the best post i've seen on these forums :D

Well at one point Mike Gamble said "if you guys knew what we were planning the reaction would be different".

It could be that.  We shoulda had it ages ago, but the team focused on EC.  But its hard to be excited since they think that ME3 is the best game they have ever made.  Kinda doesnt inspire confidence in the amount of win they believe they are bringing.

Not necessarily true. Gamble has been quoted to be most proud of "Lair of the Shadow Broker"

The Leviathan files contained lines for the whole squad.

Agreed.

I look forward to the day where I don't have to sneak this sentiment into every other post (not like Mike hasn't already seen it, and not like him seeing it for the 30th time will lead to anything different than the first).

The writers could be full of huge ideas and wild dreams.

It doesn't mean anything until the actors are back in the studio and the designers are staging the conversations. Just words on a page.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they probably recorded these lines when some of the VA's were in for the EC.  There was hardly any new dialogue in the new scenes, and I'm sure even though they said they were only focusing on the EC, they were working on other dlc, probably Leviathan, on the side.  Don't tell that to anybody in the Spoilers forum, though, or another hissy fit will break out due to them not understanding how game development works.

I'm hoping this as well, although the actors' contract may compel them to come into the studio every so often when BioWare calls anyway (it may not have been just a one-time gig for the squad and crew actors).

Fingers crossed, at any rate. With luck, Mike's days as world traveler are coming to a close, and we can get him back as producer and get some single-player content. ;-)

It does for me. :)

Anyway, I second the notion that the VAs recorded for LoD while they were at the studio again.

but it does allow conversations to have a more natural flow, he's correct! With the conversation options all options have to tie back into each other. What I said in the other thread is that I wish/hope that future content would have more options for dialogue choice in non-critical plot events such as talking to squadmates where it's not essential to know every detail.

I appreciate that people want choice but the plot does flow better if BioWare uses auto dialogue at the right times.

What I didn't like was the point-and-click on squadmates, felt out of place and never added anything important.

Weekes can think what he wants, but Shepard felt more dynamic - more personal - in ME and ME2 than he/she did in ME3.

Perhaps conversations may flow better, but ME and ME2's conversations never broke my immersion.

Let's see.

More role playing options or slightly more cinematic scenes?

I think it's easy decision to make.

Auto-Dialouge got rid of things like "Investigate". You stop a conversation with someone to ask 20+ questions, whereas in ME3, they have a natural conversation and actually tell you.  You know, like a real natural conversation would with a person.

I can't choose if my Shepard asks or barks at Joker during the Palaven moon mission, no one reacts. Its just a small flavor dialouge. Perhaps many of these are not choosable because they don't really affect your choices and just that, flavor dialouge. ME3 still has plenty of choice for the big things.

Middle options didn't serve a lot of purpose, cut away from the Paragon/Renegade motif of the game and overall meant more quanity and less quality. Developers even said "Resources" were an issue, considering how much was cut from the game, its obvious why they're not there. Along with "Its a war-story". Was another reason.
A lot of the situations in ME3, can't have a middle option, what can you really do with TIM, or Samara, or even Mordin? There is no middle option there, you can't because it wouldn't make much sense.

I rather have high-quality seamless conversations, but that is not to say ME1-ME2 was bad at all. Investigate was flowed into conversations, most auto-dialouge is either this, or just flavor text during actual gameplay/cutscene transitions into gameplay.

Keep in mind, I don't mean to be hostile or write a giant wall of crap, I'm just giving my two cents.

This is really-offtopic, I apologize for that.

I agree with you,the auto dialogue improved the conversations, and i never had a problem with it.But Weekes said in his tweet that the DLCs will probably have more choices, since a lot of people complained. And for me at least, the more choices the better.

Boy, for such a big time organization, they sure do cry broke alot.

I respect Weekes for tackling this honestly with the fans, though. That's all I ever really wanted. Just plain. Talk real to us. Let us know what you're thinking. The process. The justification in your minds.

Because the fans are listening, too. We may not agree, just as BW doesn't always agree when they listen to fan feedback. But we are listening.

For me, the dialogue in ME3 flowed a bit too much. And it didn't feel natural to me because...I wanted to be playing. Instead I was sitting there like a bump on a log...watching my game.

When I played DA2 it seemed I was always picking a response. And Tone was a part of the choice. The tone I used also shaped my character and even elicited reactions from the NPC's. The NPC's reaction to me changed based on my usual Tone.
