That's a damn shame, but oh well. Bioshock could use a hand in writing, because imo Ken Levine can't live up to his own ambition.StreetMagic wrote...

From LinkedIn rather than Twitter, but John Dombrow has moved to BioShock developer Irrational.
Dombrow wrote most of the Genophage arc in ME3, Thessia, all of Garrus and Javik and an early draft of Grissom Academy. He also wrote ME2: Overlord, worked on Leviathan and was co-lead writer on Citadel.
Sad. He's one of Bioware's best. But happy for him as well.

Indeed, spaseships in a Sci-fi game? Blasphemy.
You're ruining everything bioware. Preorder cancelled.

In all serious maybe we will be getting a few hints as to what te plot of the new game will be come gamescom. I doubt we will be getting an official announcement until the VGAs at the latest, but I still hope we get something on it.

It seems more like he doesn't want to work on the new IP and or Dragon age, so he left. Seeing as montreal is taking over Mass effect anyways.David7204 wrote...
I would imagine that the odds of a writer leaving because he didn't like the direction of the project is very unlikely.

hmmm...Currently playing me3 and I find myself more and more interested in the next mass effect game. didn't see that coming honestly. but I mean, I haven't reached the end in my current playthru xD.
I'm hoping that the next mass effect game, while it would have nothing to do with shepard, takes place after the events of mass effect 3. idk, the idea of a side-quell or a prequel isn't piquing my interest like the idea of a sequel-type game. set after the reapers, after shepard and the gang. some new threat to the galaxy, or even multiple galaxies. new protagonist making friends with new aliens.
As long as shepard is not involved, I believe New is the way to go. just saying. don't mean any thing bad.

Sounds like they're doing another behind the scenes fan thing at PAX. Showing off ideas for Mass Effect, perhaps?

DAI more likely or maybe something about the ongoing comic series ME:Foundation (the Wrex issue is going to be released in a few days)
Mike Gamble is a producer on Mass Effect. They're also doing an event at the studio at Edmonton, inviting ME/DA fans to the studio for something.
And I believe Mike did another one of these with ME fans at another convention a few weeks ago.
