The word sequel implies a direct continuation, which NME certainly won't be. That's been made clear to us several times. However, that doesn't mean the next game won't occur after ME3. It could happen 10 years later or it could happen 1000 years later. Regardless, it wouldn't be a sequel, more like a spin off. Think Star Trek: The Next Generation.

It's not impossible NME will be a prequel or a sidequel, but I personally doubt it and hope it won't be, for the sake of the universe. We've reached a point where we'll have to wait for official confirmation to know for sure.

You do not need to start a sentence with those words to denote an opinion. After he stated that comment he said it was a guess which makes it better. His experience with the series and the news led him to believe that it is going to be a sequel.

He never said it was fact and if you keep up with the news you should know it is not a fact, yet.

Hey, Mass Effect 3 finished recently. It's been 2012 since we've heard anything dragon age. Next year you'll hear a lot of info I'd bet.

Yep, I don't expect to get more than a teaser trailer for the next Mass Effect game this year, with even then no actual knews other that the trailer (which would probably just give us the title and vague hints to the plot) until next year.

Yeah if I had to guess, I'd say that we'll probably end up getting some kind of CGI trailer at the VGAs show. Beyond that though, not much until sometime early next year.

lol mike gamble says this as though he reached a substantial portion of the ME fanbase. Bioware has yet to develop a close connection with its fanbase like Digital Extremes.

Still, a teaser trailer this year (at the VGA's for example) would seem appropriate if we're looking at an early 2015 release.

Yanick Roy was asking for feedback about what people would want to hear about in a trailer similar to the one DA:I did at E3, so I don't think it's out of the question that they'll show something in 2013.

(For the record, I believe he said the consensus was that people wanted to know who the protagonist was for ME Next, and the time period)

You know with how BioWare usually handles PR I think I'd rather hear about NME when it's actually ready to be revealed. We all know it's coming and I don't want BW to rush it like they did ME3. They don't even have a lead-writer and presumably the story still comes first.

Though I'm guessing it will be very vague.. I'd be happy to hear info on time frame, possible conflict, if open world, etc.

Probably correct.  I bet they've landed on a time period, and that's about it.
