As for the game, I'll judge it with no prejudice based on the last one (as I'm doing for DAI). I don't even care if it's a prequel or a sequel. If I'll like what I see in terms of story, characters, locations and gameplay, I'll buy it.

I waited months for DAI's reveal. Waiting for few weeks wouldn't be much.
Plus, I like reading tweets about the game, no matter how vague.

It may end up having no bearing on Mass Effect, but the format (and longer running time) for the VGX now apparently allows for actual gameplay demos to be shown, plus interviews with developers and panel discussions.

I'd be really surprised if there was a gameplay video, though. If it's there at all, maybe a trailer is more likely.

Yeah, thank you, I've seen that, but I was wondering if they would show that off at the VGX, as so far, it's just been at cons, and not streamed to the internet.

Showing it for a third time might be pushing it a bit, and *if* MENext is being revealed I'm sure they would want to give it as much space and attention as possible.

Looks like games set for reveal have been teased earlier than this in past years. This article was posted a whole month before the VGAs of its respective year.

I don't know, but other people have suggested about a week. 

Then again, some reveals probably won't be teased at all

 I am hoping a Fallout 4 teaser will happen around the VGX (11th Dec - if thesurvivor2299.com/ is legit)  if a NME teaser happens instead of, or as well as, then I will be so excited.

Fallout 4 teaser is starting to seem legit, I'm pretty sure we won't see a teaser for NME, but it would be a nice surprise. And 1 out of 2 ain't bad.

So all aboard the hype train, next stop either crushing disappointment or hypeville.

No problem, you've never guaranteed it was going to be ME. Also, I think it will be a "surprise" announcement like Mirror's Edge 2 and Battlefront on this year's E3.

I'm curious why Mirror's Edge has the popularity it does.

The story is lame. The setting isn't particularly interesting. The platforming is polished and works well, but just isn't fun enough to carry a franchise on it's own.
