"Mass Effect 3's Leviathan DLC will change your ending http://go.ign.com/MTRlfb ... here we go again?"

"No, it won't 'change' your ending. It will give more exposition about the reapers though!"

If you listen to Gamble in this gameplay demo (SPOILERS) he does state that the DLC will add some "easter eggs" to the ending.

There is dialogue with a certain small person at the end of the game that addresses some of the information you'll get in the DLC (you'll get to ask him about a couple more things). (The dialogue is already there, even though it's not accessible in the game yet.)

There doesn't appear to be anything else, at least nothing that has been discovered yet. (They could conceivably add new movies to play during some of the ending sequences, but I really don't expect it.)

I hope the weapons they release have their original stats. Wish they would say more about future weapon packs and possibly appearance packs.

"@ColonelBoston @bioevilchris actually, no. Firefight has new content. That's what you pay for. The rest we just threw in for free."

I'm a bit lost here. So which weapons are new and which are from MP? I don't play MP so have no idea. The only weapon from the pack that I know is the Indra rifle, as I already have it.

I believe the two new weapons are the Punisher and the Adas. The remaining five are promotional (Indra) or multiplayer weapons.

Was this from EC's .tlk files?

Hope someone can ask if the new weapon mods are in the DLC, and if so can the announcement also add them

I've seen a few people mention that Shepard picked up one of the new mods during Gamestop's (?) gameplay demo.

Considering that in LotSB squaddies had one line each (which was recycled from the main game btw), that's putting the bar really low :P

"@GambleMike@Krukow76 Is it more dialogue based/less "action" based than LotSB or is it just a longer DLC?
Also, I assume 800 BW points?"

"@Chris_Erwood@krukow76 there is literally more lines of dialogue. More banter, squad member dialogue, etc."

It's already a part of the existing conversation. The responses just aren't accessible yet.

There are a couple things to talk to him about that will presumably correspond with events in the DLC.

Thanks for the confirmation, Mike; I'll be picking Leviathan up at release. Keep up the good work.

Do you think it might replace the "You would not know them, and there is little time" line?

It's my understanding that that is where the new options show up, yes, but I haven't personally read through the dialogue (I don't want spoilers), so I can't say for sure.

Without the extended cut, it should just play out the way it always did (there won't be anything new in the original ending).

Yeah, that's what I thought.  I don't want to be spoiled too much either, I was just curious. :P

this DLC sounds good. Btw has anyone noticed these days from DA2 onwards bios dlcs are actually better than main game. Main game is generally on the safe side, while all their creativity and insane fun ideas are actually put in dlcs.

Does anyone know if there is an official word on this yet (whether new dialogue paths will open in the original cut or only in the EC)?

What ... if... it adds something to the reject ending. You find something you actually can use against the reapers beside the cruicable/catalyst, and how well it turns out is based on your EMS. Droooooooool! Anyway, I'll get any DLC they come up with, can't wait!

It's mostly because it's easier to take risks on cheaper products then on huge budget projects.
That, and sometimes when you think of super awesome ideas...it's too late.

Yep.

Around the time of LotSB's release I remember reading some dev comments that because it was months after ME2's release and generally only relatively invested fans would still buy story DLC at that point, they could afford to make it more creative and have more in-jokes/references to the lore or previous games. The same thing seemed to happen with DA2's DLC, although that had its own circumstances.

It'd be nice to get some quirky non-combat DLC though, just for a change. Or at least shaking up the enemy roster a bit.

It's been a long time since I have been excited for something Mass Effect related. I'm looking forward to some real DLC and not more useless multiplayer stuff. :)
