Auto-dialog is garbage. Sorry to be so blunt but it is what it is. It also seemed like a running theme with ME3, you guys did a whole lot of taking the player out of the game. Auto-dialog, no exploration to speak of, fetch quest in place of actual quests, removal of the mini-games, lack of any real choice in the end. All of that was a major detriment to the game and series. There were great visuals, story moments, combat moments and more but those things really did hurt the game severely.

I remember someone was asking about this:

"Yea, Leviathan will have new achievements for the 360 and trophies for the PS3 :)"

https://twitter.com/...139002701021184

---

Also, this one excites me:

"@gamblemike will the new citadel areas be one time only. or extend the citadel hub (ie new floors, people ect) #reallywantmorehub"

"@davvb more than one time. That's all I'm gonna say :)"

Wait.  There are new areas to visit in the Citadel with this DLC?  Or did I completely misread this?

From the Leviathan description:

"Taking place during the events of Mass Effect 3, players will be thrust into the darkest corners of space where they will hunt a mysterious being rumored to be powerful enough to destroy a Reaper. As they race against time, they will begin to unravel the secret of the Leviathan. Explore uncharted systems and new areas on the Citadel, interact with brand new characters, unlock the AT-12 Raider shotgun and M-55 Argus Assault Rifle and discover more about the mysterious history of the Reapers. Available for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 for $10 or 800 MS points."

There was debate over whether it was a one-time area or if it was a new hub. While Mike's post doesn't confirm the latter, at least we'll see the area more than once.

having 50 billion things to ask someone making it no longer a conversation but more a bombardment of questions is garbage. yeah theres a war for the whole galaxy going on lets just got exploring and take the mako for a pointless drive on a planet. hopefully we'll run into some pointless mercs to shoot. hope everyone else is enjoying the war. the things they took out were necessary. god some people are so stupid

...there could always be a valid reason that would make a vehicle necessary. Plus, asking questions is better than being a stalker.

Sounds like the Mass Effect series is not for you. Maybe you should go play Call of Duty or something. Something that funnels you down a straight path where you do nothing but press the shoot button. That sounds like something more up your alley.

And how exactly is my post a bombardment of 50 billion questions? S/he made a comment on auto-dialog and I conveyed my feeling about it.  It's people like you that are a detriment to a good conversation by being an arrongant jerk who thinks their opinion is gold and insults people for no reason.

And do share how it was necessary that they remove the things I mentioned. The removal of auto-dialog was necessary how? The removal of mini games was necessary how? Planet scanning fetch quests instead of fully fledged missions on these planets that everyone was dying to see was necessary why?

Using the story to justify the removal of features is a cheap excuse. I'm pretty sure that if they wanted to they could have made dialogue and exploration viable along with the galactic war. In fact I still don't see a reason as to why "a sense of urgency" would diminish dialogue. We've had two games that worked well with that, there's no reason for the third one not to. Like the other guy said, maybe Mass Effect isn't for you, if dialogue is not a priority, but dialogue has always been part of Mass Effect and not a small part either.

I don't have twitter so I can't ask, but are the new SP guns such as the Raider, Argus, the blood pack smg and Quarian Rifle going to be added to multiplayer with the purchase of the DLC, or will it be added later through a MP dlc pack?

No, they'll only be available for single-player.

But I'm sure they'll get added to multiplayer at some point (those that aren't already available).

There's a war going on and Shepard has the time to evesdropon on everyone on the Citadel.  Riiiiight.

I would have gladly give that up to have the choice of being understanding, being professional or completely blasting the Asari Counciler after Thessia.  And that's just one example of how the auto-dialoge went horribly, horribly wrong. (sorry, off topic)

I really hope the "new citadel areas" adressed the lack of hub worlds in ME3, every part of re-visitable space is appreciated by me :)

The more I hear about this DLC, the more excited I get. I really hope it'll be out not too long after the weapons pack.

Doubt it, I think that they'll be exclusive for SP at least for a while. But I can imagine them finding their way to MP eventually, the Particle Rifle eventually came to MP so why wouldn't they put the other weapons in as well.

Well, it was a kind of positive but vague answer. So it could also mean we´re getting to see the area two times in the game, at the beginning and the end of the DLC :P

I´d love to have another base-like level like the Shadow Broker base (but since we have the Spectre room now...but then again, I´d love to see that room "upgraded" as well :D), but one new Citadel level would freakin rock!!

It would be good if these new areas were revisitable (and had some new side quests) after we finish the main Leviathan mission. Ideally, Omega would also transform into a new hub after finishing the main mission (in the inevitable future Omega Aria DLC)

Me too. Kinda doubt since they've already released 1 trailer and well, how much can you show from 3-4 hours DLC without spoiling everything lol?

Ah nostalgia. Thank you for that Jeff.

I miss being in the middle of the story. That feeling of unease as you start out, the meetingg of new people and places. Ah...

I really hope Leviathan is at least as good as LotSB.
