Patrick Weeks@PatrickWeekes: .@user I cannot say conclusively that I am IN LOVE with this question, but I definitely have feelings.
Patrick Weeks@PatrickWeekes: .@user Sexplosion? The loser lives, and the winner dies happy? Asari males? Dark energy? Vorlons? I could kinda go anywhere here.

If they're at the stage of writing dialogue (dialogue and VA recording usually happens later in the development cycle), I'd say they're aiming for a March 2015 release.
With the new IP in development, I think they're planning on having a game come out every year, but that way each game will have a 3 year dev cycle:
2014: DA:I
2015: Mass Effect: X
2016: IP
2017: DA: X
etc, etc

People have been playing new builds of the next ME at home over the holidays, so I assume it's partly playable.
I wonder if they have some form of multiplayer up yet.

Interesting question. On one hand I'd say that Ardat-Yakshis only thrive on destroying the minds of those "weaker" than them so they wouldn't be interested in one of their kind. On the other hand, Ardat-Yakshi are quite powerful and one who can successfully kill another could claim very impressive bragging rights.
My opinion? It would depend on the individual A-Y. There will be those who prefer quantity over quality and vice versa.

Interesting question to bring up now. I thought I could destroy the last of the Ardat Yakshi? Or just leave one left. Why does it matter? Are they going to be back or what? Because that sucks. The galaxy is already bad enough with nearly invincible problems like Krogan and tech singularities .
I don't think it has anything to do with the next Mass Effect, just a random twitter person asking Weekes about it

Don't forget that EA handed them Star Wars stuff to do as well.

Yep, it uses Frostbite 3 also.ebevan91 wrote...
Do we know (or at least can we expect) this game to be on FB3 like DA:I is?
Many of the systems and engine programming that's being done for DA:I will directly help Mass Effect, also, since they're both working from the same engine.

I kinda figured that would be Austin's to deal with. Edmonton/Montreal have enough on their plates.

Getting set for our first motion capture session for the next #MassEffect .Off to Vancouver tomorrow to use EA's world class mocap facility.
Reading some of Ken Thain's twitter page, I just remembered that it was this tweet which made me think they started Mass Effect Next in June 2012, or even earlier.

According to this game dev's description of each section (scroll way down to find it), we should be right into the production section. It comes right after the first playable demo (which is after Pre-Production), which we had in early December. They started making stuff like dialogue and animations. They'll take all of their gameplay plans and start creating classes, talent trees, etc. I think it's coming, slowly but surely
