I say Mass Effect 4 because it's the most direct way of articulating the fourth mainline Mass Effect game, even if it's not canonically part of the Mass Effect trilogy and instead uses a subtitle. Until the official name is made public, I will say "Mass Effect 4".
also I'm pretty convinced in my belief it's a sequel that that helps my mental gynamstics
I know but its irritating that we constantly get told we're idiots for calling the next game ME4 when we don't have else to call it. It's the fourth main title and just because we call it ME4 doesn't mean its a direct continuation.
That' why I call it ME:Next
Final Fantasy games are numbered and yet the individual stories have nothing to do with each other. They are not direct sequels but each is one game in the series of games known as Final Fantasy.
Which is totally stupid, and I think the devs know that, but they have to continue the tradition.

I just think we should just call it either/or until we get an official name.

The tweets we get are just very tiny morsels until a reveal is done. I actually would prefer the first reveal or teaser to come closer to the end of year, after DA:I arrives (assuming it is still launching sometime in the fall/winter). Although I could see a big, operatic reveal of DA:I during E3 ... "oh, and don't forget" --> Mass Effect: Next teaser.

Oh, *besides* losing my job? That isn't exactly a trivial consequence to me.

I've contacted my secret sources for more information to leak and they've confirmed that Mass Effect 4 will indeed star Jos Hendriks in a titular role, perhaps as a love interest.
