hmm, not sure how I feel about another space oriented title.
Eh, who am I kidding? They had me at "Space Nuns."
The word space is enough to grab my attention ![]()

I'm all in for another BioWare game set in space since I'm not a fan of fantasy games.
1)Don't assume it'll be just about space guys...
2)April Fools bores the hell out of me.
Me too SwobyJ, Me too.

Ok, at the end of our day, I am showing this to @PatrickWeekes and we are TICKLED. ![]()
Space nuns. Uh...can we romance them?
The word space is enough to grab my attention
Heh, I feel the same way about the word 'Nuns'.
I'd also love another Sci-Fi/Cyberpunk-ish game (I know CD Projekt are on Cyberpunk 2077), but I'd like to see more such games.

It's a Bioware game. Sure you can!

And, no promises, but the words "space nuns" were uttered.
I know they've said it's a new IP, but I thought it was an interesting coincidence that a few people's first thoughts were Dune's Bene Gesserit and Matt Rhodes recently showed off some Dune concept art...

Maybe the game is actually called Mass Effect: Space, and they've been desperately trying to tell us all along.

If they do a Dune-ish themed game, that'd work.
-Sci-fi world, with large emphasis on space, without being necessarily about space travel
-But with much more fantasy elements than Mass Effect would normally allow (yes, I know, Space Magic, but I have contending thoughts about that)
-A high degree of mysticism, while having (at least semi) scientific explanations
-Can take place over the span of eons, instead of the more direct continuations in timeline (partly because of how the universe works) in Mass Effect or Dragon Age
I'd be in support of it, as long as BW really marks the IP with a lot of their own new stuff, like how Dragon Age has those few things that keep it from being LOTR/D&D, and Mass Effect has those few things that keep it from being SW/etc.
EDIT: Let me put it this way. If OVERALL, Dragon Age is the Red, and Mass Effect is the Blue, the new IP could be the Green... and this could all set up Bioware for the next decade or so. 2-3 Mass games, 2-3 DA games, 1-2 NewIP games? *nods*
I hope "Space Nuns" aren't a synonym for Ardat-Yakshis.
Even if Casey's project is a new IP, remember that Bioware Austin is apparently making a new project also - and it still has a lot of devs that worked on KoTOR ten years ago, and LucasArts did give EA the licence for core Star Wars games.
As strange as it sounds, Bioware could actually have four singleplayer RPG series running at the same time - ME, DA, Casey's IP and whatever is down at Austin.
(I am interested in whatever the new IP is at Edmonton, I just hope they properly plan out a story arc this time.)
Nailed my thoughts exactly up there. But of course, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Space nuns have been known to pop up all over the place.
...
OK, maybe not, but I mean, this could still be anything, this new IP.And the fact that it's a "new IP" generally has me thinking it couldn't be Dune in the first place!
But a man can dream.
I like to take hypotheticals and run the whole way with them.
While fully aware that they are hypotheticals.
It's just fun. It flexes my imagination. It fuels my interest in fiction
. And NONE of it comes from nowhere, as many people here probably instead think.
Anyway, I'm not saying it's literally Dune (but I'm sure you know that). But something reminiscent of it like DA is of LOTR and ME is of SW? Oh yeah, totally. All these genre pieces build onto each other in some way - just as long as rights are respected.

I agree.
I think another Star Wars game is coming. I'd err away from it being Old Republic though, and more of a promotional tool of the next 'generation' of Disney Star Wars though 0_0
Okay, I've getting way too speculative today. *slaps self*

Ha, well said.
Anyway, what happened with the thread's name? It's so normal now.... ![]()
