Guys, we all know that any sort of Mass Effect dating sim game (or any Bioware game) would no doubt be the most popular and famous game for all ages. Pacman is going to have some competition

Dating sim? Bioware needs to get past the nudity barrier before attempting anything of that sort and don't give me dinner date stuff. Hanar are the living embodiment of ME tentacle porn. Not that I have interest in seeing that stuff, Anime scars my mind plenty enough thanks.

Malanek, (Except for Liara) every romance is either done completely in underpants or quickly fades into a black screen. I mean I'm still absolutely puzzled by the fact that ever since the Fox News incident Bioware has been has had to reduce most of the romance scenes to a silly clothes on clothes while the Witcher series gets away with so much more. Why may I ask did Bioware even care in the first place, the games are rated M for a reason. If parents get upset over what on the games then they should take responsibility and not let them play them. Isn't that what the ESRB is for?

 

Have you considered that the reason they don't go further is simply because they don't want to? We could make a case that outright nudity can be tacky and exploitative, as it apparently is in The Witcher. Every time this comes up David Gaider points out that they're certainly not holding back because of the ESRB - not when the game features horror, violence, murder, slavery, etc.

 

There's a difference between prudishness and just not liking the effect that more intense romances scenes would create. I hardly think they're doing it to protect children when no children should be playing this game, so it's more likely to be an artistic choice.

I've found something cool to play while we wait for Dragon Age and 'MES'. Infinity Wars - Animated trading card game. It's actually pretty cool and the universe is interesting. Plus there will be Star Trek TNG cards!
