As long as I'm rosemary or Mediterranean spiced sea salt that's fine.

That hiring page has a picture of a Mass Effect scene, but I don't recognise it...

Anyone else recognise it?

I feel like I've seen it before but this could be just because EVERYTHING electronic in Mass Effect is neon orange.

Looks a lot like the Alliance CiC in the opening sequence of ME3...

Just not with the same lighting effects.

Yes, it looks like it, just from a different angle.

I'm not too sure. I just saw the video and while it's in a similar style, it's definitely not the same room

It's pretty regardless. Mass Effect's holo-orange has always cracked a smile.

I have played ME - all of them - a LOT. That does not look similar at all. In fact, and I really do not want to go on tangents here, sliiightly reminds me of Omega DLC. And given the facts that a) Omega DLC interface/art guy has a big say in MEN (har har) and B) it is new aaand c) it looks an awful lot like an Alliance starship, my guess is:

1) unreleased screens from possible ME3 DLCs hauled by the same people who did Omega that ultimately got canned, or

2) shots from MEN we are not - in any way - supposed to be freaking out about, or

3) just a random bits of concept art they slapped on the site for the heck of it.

My rational self wants to go with 1) or 3). My emotional self, however, desperately wishes for 2). It is cool nonetheless.

Also, @ElitePineCone - I get why you would find the period interesting but from a greater standpoint, prequels really, really are not lucrative. Or interesting. Or giving you much room for moving forward, which is what our human brains are hard-wired to do. Like, to quote only one reason why a prequel would not work, how would you justify new species in a prequel - not to mention several - that make no impact whatsoever on the events that take place following? Did everyone just sort of forget about them?

Voyager SUCKED by the way.

Thought so too at first, but we actually never see the whole room.

Or it could also be the fact that I'm too hungry for any new info and don't want my hopes shattered if it turns out to be an old pic. :)

I was agreeing with you right up until that last sentence. I don't think a Voyager style story would work for Mass Effect. Not with the relays and Mass Effect engines themselves being pretty quick. You'd have to set the game in a new galaxy and I don't want that myself. I'd like to be able to visit the Krogan and Geth to check on how they're going post Reaper war while exploring the (many) unknown parts of the Milky Way.

I'm much more partial the Casey's original idea of a dectective style story combined with ST: The Next Generation.

I don't wanna brag, but the hiring page image is just a photo of my new office spot. We're using omnitech to develop the game. It's next-next-gen!
