I'm still unsure about when to start the DLCs. I consider post-Thessia a no-go area, since deviating from the Catalyst-hunt breaks narrative too much for me.

I usually start From Ashes after Palaven so that I can evacuate the Primarch from danger as fast as possible. I'm planning on starting Retake Omega after the Cerberus Coup and Leviathan after Rannoch (But before meeting with the Asari Councilor). I think the conversation with the Rannoch Reaper serves as a great motivator for searching out Leviathan.

It'll depend on which characters I'm playing through with when I'll start the DLC missions, but for my canon Shepard, I think I'll start the Leviathan DLC just after Horizon - it'll give the story some added tension and suspense near the end of the game, I think; a last-ditch attempt for Shepard to find a way to destroy the Reapers should the Catalyst be unusable due to Cerberus, plus it'll give Hackett and the Alliance some time to analyse that tracer placed on Kai Leng and to prepare the Fleet to assault the Cerberus HQ. (not to mention give the end of the game a couple more misisons, since I agree that nearing the end the game felt a little thin mission-wise)

That's the best place to do From Ashes. I did it once before Menae for kicks, to see if Javik had unique dialogue there, but alas...you can't use Javik on Menae. XD But definitely acquire him when there's some downtime before things heat up after the conference.

I've been away for a little while due to work and surgery (I'm typing this while on pain meds) so I hope this comment doesn't derail this thread too much. I just waited to say that I was pleasantly surprised when Bioware released MP weapons in a DLC pack for single-player. I'm glad for it and here's to hoping for some additional single-player DLC goodies like appearance packs for squadmates and maybe some new mods and armor pieces to retrieve from the battlefield in DLC story packs like Leviathan and beyond. Cheers! :)

New mods from MP will be added to Levi DLC :) Also, Argus and Raider pre-order bonuses too (for those who didn't have them yet)

Also, hope the surgery went well and you will get better asasp Carl! :)

I always did BDtS before Virmire because it felt awkward to just do that mission right after it because my Shepard was pissed and wanted to get Saren ASAP. For ME2, I think I did Overlord just before or after Horizon (my memory is fuzzy). I did LotSB after getting Samara/Thane and Miranda's mission. After suicide mission, have visit with Liara and then head to Arrival.

I have been toying with idea of doing From Ashes just after the coup to bring Ashley/Kaidan with. So, I could go and do Leviathan right afterwards.

Either way, I'll be happy hehe.

Derailing the twitter thread though... we need some hot tweets.

 Sky: Maybe, maybe!
CARL: Get well soon. That's an order from the brass.

BioWare ‏@biowareThe new SX3 Alliance Fighter replica from Dark Horse is now available for pre-sale at the Bioware Store!

I scoured and scoured and that was the closest to relevant I could find.

I'm not getting why you'd want Leviathan to only open up halfway through the game; nothing's forcing you to do it earlier. I myself didn't even do Grunt's rachni mission until almost Thessia.

As for when to do Leviathan, I plan on using a save right after Rannoch as well.  I feel like that makes the most sense story wise, a good intermission between Acts 2 and 3, just like the Citadel Coup was between Acts 1 and 2.

Leviathan has been confirmed to add some more lines to The Catalyst's exposition (and Shepard's responses/questions) based on our choices in the mission, so loading a save-game right before the Cerberus base (or even the conduit) might be a good idea, at least the first time around.

Mine too, especially given the exceptional track record on full-fledged DLC projects so far. Kasumi, Overlord, Lair of the Shadow Broker and Arrival all delivered in that department. From Ashes did too, if we're counting it as truly new content. :P

I would've gone to the ending again to check new Leviathan lines... IF they didn't make all the dialogues with TIM and the Catalyst unskippable. It's ridiculous,l these conversations are very long and they should be 100% skippable, like every other conversation in ME3 and ME1 & ME2
