That's the best place to do From Ashes. I did it once before Menae for kicks, to see if Javik had unique dialogue there, but alas...you can't use Javik on Menae. XD But definitely acquire him when there's some downtime before things heat up after the conference.COGNiTiON 1 wrote...
I'm still unsure about when to start the DLCs. I consider post-Thessia a no-go area, since deviating from the Catalyst-hunt breaks narrative too much for me.
I usually start From Ashes after Palaven so that I can evacuate the Primarch from danger as fast as possible. I'm planning on starting Retake Omega after the Cerberus Coup and Leviathan after Rannoch (But before meeting with the Asari Councilor). I think the conversation with the Rannoch Reaper serves as a great motivator for searching out Leviathan.
New mods from MP will be added to Levi DLCCARL_DF90 wrote...
I've been away for a little while due to work and surgery (I'm typing this while on pain meds) so I hope this comment doesn't derail this thread too much. I just waited to say that I was pleasantly surprised when Bioware released MP weapons in a DLC pack for single-player. I'm glad for it and here's to hoping for some additional single-player DLC goodies like appearance packs for squadmates and maybe some new mods and armor pieces to retrieve from the battlefield in DLC story packs like Leviathan and beyond. Cheers!

I'm not getting why you'd want Leviathan to only open up halfway through the game; nothing's forcing you to do it earlier. I myself didn't even do Grunt's rachni mission until almost Thessia.
As for when to do Leviathan, I plan on using a save right after Rannoch as well. I feel like that makes the most sense story wise, a good intermission between Acts 2 and 3, just like the Citadel Coup was between Acts 1 and 2.COGNiTiON 1 wrote...

I would've gone to the ending again to check new Leviathan lines... IF they didn't make all the dialogues with TIM and the Catalyst unskippable. It's ridiculous,l these conversations are very long and they should be 100% skippable, like every other conversation in ME3 and ME1 & ME2ElitePinecone wrote...
Leviathan has been confirmed to add some more lines to The Catalyst's exposition (and Shepard's responses/questions) based on our choices in the mission, so loading a save-game right before the Cerberus base (or even the conduit) might be a good idea, at least the first time around.
