I wouldn't be surprised if ME gets a trailer at E3, or at least a teaser.
Some of Bioware's marketing and production people have been hinting that their E3 content is quite huge this year.

Maybe because they already announced DA:I release date, then they will show lots of things about DAI at E3. ![]()
But it would be indeed nice to see something related to ME too. ![]()

Teaser possibly, trailer no, whilst ideas are still being pitched then it's still too soon for a trailer.
I wonder which title we'll get first, MEnext or Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 already had a teaser trailer so I guess is more likely to come out first.

You know they finished the design document nearly a year ago, right? It was done in June 2013.
And the team have already made trailers to show off internally and to EA.
The game is far, far further along in development than people think. It is certainly not the case that main story ideas are still being pitched. That was years ago.
Well if that's the case there is good chance for a teaser trailer on N7 day.You know they finished the design document nearly a year ago, right? It was done in June 2013.

Such a document is never finished. It is being amended, rewritten etc. all the time over the course of development. But it may have been in a state then that was presentable to pitch it to BioWare execs.

For a teaser, you don't need that much of the story already done. What you need are a few main cornerstones of the game that won't change anymore. Just look back at past teasers:
What I want to say is: it is 100% doable to do a teaser trailer for a game that (on N7 day 2014) will have been in development for about 2 years. If there's no teaser, then it's because of other reasons apart from story, e.g. marketing (not interfering with promoting DA:I).
As DA:I releases one month before N7 day, that should avoid any overlapping... so fingers crossed! ![]()
They didn't avoid overlappings in any previous games, no reason to start now.

Sounds like a lot of great progress made on a difficult, ongoing problem during my vacation. Will ensure I take more time off to help team.
Sometimes you just need to put up your feet and drink a mai tai and let the really annoying problems resolve themselves.
Mmm Then the Main Batery room would be littered with shiny objects, sticks, and what not, either to bring shepard or tali to the party
He'd build a nest made of guns.
#WritersPit discussion: What if Garrus was a bower bird?
I now have images of Shepard on the Normandy following the line of objects and chucking them into a trash bag muttering to him/herself "Dangit Garrus! if I had known this about Turians, he never would have been allowed on the ship", gets to the battery, and there is Garrus, dancing....

For a teaser, you don't need that much of the story already done. What you need are a few main cornerstones of the game that won't change anymore. Just look back at past teasers:
- The ME1 teaser had Shep, Ash and Garrus standing at the galaxy map and listen to a distress call.
- The ME2 teaser revealed that Shep is "killed" at the beginning and that there's a Geth with N7 armor.
- The ME3 teaser only had two bits of info: the Reapers are effing up Earth, and Shep goes get some help.
What I want to say is: it is 100% doable to do a teaser trailer for a game that (on N7 day 2014) will have been in development for about 2 years. If there's no teaser, then it's because of other reasons apart from story, e.g. marketing (not interfering with promoting DA:I).

I agree with this. If EA is willing to tease games like next gen battlefront and mirror's edge a year ago and not follow up why wouldn't they do that for Mass Effect? I could honestly see a brief 30 - 60 second teaser at this E3 followed by months of silence, like they did with ME2 and ME3. Maybe we get some subtle info on N7 Day/Early 2015, followed by an info blow-out by gameinformer in may 2014, followed by more trailers at E3 2015 and release in Q4 2015. Like you said, you don't need much for a teaser. ME2's teaser was about as vague as vague gets.
Like others have said, this game has been in developpement for at least 1 and 1/2 years. They recently started mocap sessions and have started writing. Gameplay is available, and last December there was a ''Vertical slice'', which means that most components (rudimentary) were in place and usable. I think we might be underestimating how far along this game is. Just because they don't talk about it as much doesn't mean it's still on plans and drawings. It's being brought to life on computer screens as we speak
I also don't understand why everyone is so insistent on having Mass Effect coverage and Dragon Age coverage separate. Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2 released 3 months apart yet both had excellent reviews and sales. Nothing should be stopping Bioware at E3 from saying: '' DA fans: here are some gameplay-pump up trailers for DAI! Story, Crafting, the whole bucket! And we also have a little something for our ME fans: we didn't forget about you (teaser) ''

Visited @bioware in Edmonton and hung out with my true love, Thane.

Felicia Day was in the office today. "Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."
Oh Lord, how awesome would be a ME4 character looking and sounding like Felicia Day?
I think Felicia Day is a very talented writer, producer, actress and voice actress. I'd love to see her play a role in a future Mass Effect title!

I'd be okay with that.
I just don't want her default 'this is Felicia Day sounding like its just a normal conversation' or her physical appearance.
I don't have any clue who is she.
