Magic Find.
Someone needs to tell the devs they need to activate the perfect gem.
It means 'must fix'. As in, the bug must be fixed - or I have a rage blackout.

Moved floors at work today because I'm transitioning to go work on Dragon Age 3! Lots of exciting things to learn and do.
damn, I guess that confirms multiplayer is done and dusted too...
Does this mean no more balance changes?
Prior to my vacation and move to DA I'd been working on the DLC Mike Gamble's looking to tease you with for a good while, which is singleplayer.

I would have been part of that all hands, yes.JadeShepard wrote...
Oh that's right, I'm sorry, when you posted in this thread a month or two back in which you stated it was "all hands on deck for the next dlc" you were including yourself in that mix weren't you?
Sorry about the mixup
Has it been refreshing to come back to work and be on a different project? Oh and also, did you move floors up? Or down?
Coming back to work is still ongoing really, you can't just jump back in 110% within a day after a 4 week vacation. Moving to DA gives me new challenges and a new kind of excitement again working with a lot of people I've not worked with before. I moved up floors.

Thank you for the compliment, hopefully I'll be able to help out well on DA.JadeShepard wrote...
I totally understand that, I had heard you were on holidays recently but wasn't aware this was your first day back. So welcome back! As for DA, I'm sure you'll fit right in. You seem like a really kind person by the way in which you've helped maintain the buzz on these forums and in turn, kept people's sanity in-check
So I just want to say personally, now that it all seems to be coming to a close, thank you for all your dedication to your work, and to us (your fans on the BSN).
I look forward to seeing your future work on DA3.
Thank you, I think I will.simfamSP wrote...

I'd answer the question if I'd be able to, but seeing as this is my second day in with plenty of ramp-up left to go on Frostbite and the project itself, it's too early for me to be able to do any sort of comparison. They're different projects.mcgreggers99 wrote...
Jos, quick question...and kinda outside the thread topic, but how different is your design process in switching from Unreal to Frostbite for the level design? It seems as though Frostbite allows for much larger environments and even if the implementation of design to the engine is kinda similar between the two tool sets, does it free you up to think "bigger" in your level ideas?
I'm sure you're given specific level assignments, but I was just kinda curious if technical advances in the game engine are allowing you to "dream a little bigger" in your designs.

I can't genuinely look forward to what Mike will tease you with? I honestly don't know what it will be, but I hope it's something juicy. There is lots of potential teasing material.Edolix wrote...

Not sure that's Shepard. Does look like Wrex though. Wouldn't put money on it though, purely because this could just be Concept Art. Highly... detailed... concept art...
Great, now I have to abandon BSN again to avoid any and all pre-DLC release spoilers...

Do you think we will ever see the devs playing the dlc's they made?, it would be intresting to see how they play there own games.
Absolutely. I make sure to play whatever DLC i'm producing at least a few times a week. That way, it's easier to work with the team, give feedback, and finish it!

We play our own work in the sense that we test changes we make, which means we see our own work ingame on a daily basis while working on it.Tali-vas-normandy wrote...
I have always wonderd, when you make the dlc, do you play while making it, for xample you go back to the start of a quest and play it or do you wait until the entire dlc is finished?

I think Tali-vas-normandy was asking if we ever get to see, in video form, how you guys play ME3, to see if you breeze through Insanity or die repeatedly on Casual:devil:
I play on insanity, normally. But then again, I like a challenge. Unless i'm playing and doing an interview at the same time...then all bets are off.

Has anyone on here bugged Bioware on Twitter about Thane and Jacob yet? Or about the almost-romance between Shepard and Samara in ME2 being continued? I'd be interested in seeing their responses to those.
Those questions delve into story spoilers, so we won't be commenting on them

If there ever was a DLC to rival Lair of the Shadowbroker, this will be it.
don't let me don't josz
Hey, that's my personal opinion. I worked on both Lair of the Shadowbroker (Broker's ship's exterior) and Citadel ([redacted] area) and I personally like Citadel better. From a development standpoint there are more things I worked on in Citadel that I'm proud of than things in Shadowbroker.
Of course I hope that it ends up giving you a similar experience, but ultimately that's up to each of you. All I know is that everyone who worked on Citadel has put a ton of effort into it, because it's our goodbye as much as it is anyone else's. Tuesday will be the moment of truth, and hopefully you'll have a fantastic time with the DLC. I'm looking forward to all of your impressions.

Jos was one of the devious level designers for ME3 mp. I wonder if his new assignment is somewhat like his old one?
Hardly devious, I thought you guys and gals enjoyed a challenge. Don't forget that besides a lot of the DLC MP levels for ME3, I also worked on the main game's singleplayer missions (for 2 and 3) and Citadel, too. So I could be working on anything!

That is why Jos is the best developer on the next ME!
You are very kind, but there are many people on the next Mass Effect who I think are cooler than I am. Besides, we could all use a little bit of Adventure Time bacon pancakes every now and then. ![]()

We love all of you guys at Bioware. BTW, are you referring to people working on the next Mass Effect in Edmonton, or have you seen/met the team in Montreal?
(P.S: It's March 6 tommorrow. Can we get a ''tease'' for the next Mass Effect? Pretty please
)
Both, I went and visited the team in Montreal a little while back. There are really cool people in both locations.

Also, obligatory "hi Jos, love your work, etc."
How is that obligatory? Maybe I worked on something that you really don't like! (thank you though)
