If there is a Mako in ME:Placeholder, I would like for my squaddies/companions to sing riding songs while I drive.

I hope the first batch of ME4 screenshots contain at least two or more exploration shots.

Given that it won't contain Shep or any of the squad mates, as well as not trying to fix the complete blunder of the ending, my road for Mass Effect ends here.

Completely irrelevant and nobody cares. If it ends here, gtfo.

Try to end it in silence next time

I always found myself apologizing to my squad mates for my bad/bumpy driving.

You know, it would be nice if in the next game they complain in case you are a bad driver :P

The Mako...

This is the future damnit! We have spaceships! We have flying cars! There shouldn't even be wheeled vehicles anymore!

Not necessarily man, it takes more energy to hover than to roll so wheels may still have a place in that future.

Did you ever play Binary Domain? It's a third-person shooter, similar mechanics.

In that game, the squad complained about your shoosting performance constantly.

If that was a concern there'd be roads in the Citadel.  ;)

Don't know this game but I played Star Wars Republic Commando... the squadmates praised or complained about your performance in combat. It was nice.

But people on the Citadel need to move between the Wards and the Presidium. Flying cars make more sense there.

I almost gave up on ME1 because I kept plunging the Mako into the lava on Therum. Mastering driving it may be one of my proudest gaming moments.

PCThug Really? The mako is one of the easiest vehicle I have ever had control over in any video game I've played, plus there is a straight path leading to the goal point. Also there is nothing wrong with having tire based vehicle in the future. Not every environment it suitable for hover exploration and some environments, like with Leviathan, require underwater exploration.

I can't speak for the consoles, but on the PC side the Mako had absolutely atrocious controls.

Just gimme a flying car, I'll lean out the window and shoot if I have to!

I'm playing it on PC and I have absolutely no problems what so ever. I wouldn't say atrocious more like clunky but not beyond repairing and certainly not troubled enough to get the axe.

As for the second sentence, you want GTA: Mass Effect?

I applaud your skills then, because it took me ages to adjust to it's hyper-sensitive turn controls. People's issues with it are well-documented. But again, the bottom line I simply don't see any reason whey there would be wheeled vehicles when flying ones are commonplace (with hover-capability no less).

And GTA: Mass Effect...? Could work. ;)

Many people have complained over the years re: the Mako controls. Spoof videos ate it up, critics referenced it as "a novel attempt but clearly not BioWare's forte" (various derivatives therein) and players expressed downright comical levels of frustration.

I don't mind it myself, and any problems I've had have always been mitigated by the beauty of those uncharted worlds, but general reception was dire enough to ensure the team explored different directions in 2.

And then subsequently removed in 3, but it's the fact that they kept removing things that could've been fixed. It makes my mind numb that they thought the Planet Scanning was better than the mako! Please put the Mako or any other vehicle exploration back in that's not PLANET SCANNING!

Sincerely, Echolett

Come now, let's put aside this driving vs flying debate. Everybody knows that the best way to travel via Mako is hopping.
