I feel that pretty much every subtitle looks a bit silly, at least seven character ones. Anyhow, I doubt that it has a whole lot of truth to it. Might just be hollow rumours as much as anything else.

I hate subtitles, they make things sound substandard. Sort of like a sub-chapter or an afterthought.

 

They should have called the game Mass Effect 4, even though it has nothing to do with the first three.

 

Final Fantasy games are numbered and yet each one is it's own thing. I do not understand this apparent psychosis people have with Mass Effect 4.

Creator, Destiny, Defiant (I like this), divided, eternal,  freedom, gateway, genesis, outcast (this could work too), quantum, vaguely (here's one you can use Mr. Rodych), warrior,

 

Honestly, I can't imagine a good subtitle only having 7 characters. Maybe I'm just used to sweet and short ''Mass Effect'', but I hope Bioware chooses well.

At this point it's still "some guy on the internet saying something"  

But a few other people who seem to have good sources have hinted about ME, too. I saw shinobi might've said something back in April.

My fav memorable TTS is still from ME2 dev, escaping from Cerberus Station. Miranda's lines didn't have the radio cutting in/out effect yet, so the TTS flatly read out the placeholder line, "You're doing crackle Shepard crackle to the next room and I'll crackle crackle."
Sadly we didn't have any Texans or Queens back then.

I really hope you guys can record some of these and upload them somewhere after the game comes out.

I don't think they'll apologis for an ending people didn't like. Bioware have made it obvious they are standing buy their product, which most companies do with their products.

thuway is an old GAFfer (like myself) who does indeed happen to know some of the right people in the industry to get some interesting scoops. He doesn't work in the industry himself so he shouldn't be considered an ex-employee or mystery source or anything like that. Everything he says is ultimately second hand info, as he has no real way of verifying it himself as an employee. But yes, he does know some people that have supplied him with fairly reliable information in the past. Like myself he's been wrong about things, probably because whoever told him got something wrong or he misheard, but he still gets stuff right.

 

Certainly wouldn't hurt to believe "Mass Effect: _ _ _ _ _ _ _"

While we try and guess seven digit names for the next installment does anyone else think what kind of hacking mini-game or mini-games in general might show up in the next game? I also hope that the soundtrack will be memorable. No offense but I have a hard time listening most of the ME trilogy soundtrack that isn't Vigil or the EDI introduction song.

I concur there. I love electronic music but the ME trilogy had a lot of faults concerning the sound of the music. Some parts are repetitive in a way that's not atmospheric or it's ear hurting like Saren's theme. Other parts feel more like filler music, simply there just for the sake of music. It's hard to put yourself in a world where the scenary is not exactly fitting in with the entire scope of any themes presented in all three games. I understood that the team wanted to incorporate sounds ideally from Blade Runner and blend it with a bit of Star Wars/Trek. My assessment would be to create music that you wouldn't -normally- hear very often in our world. Music that sounds  alien (to the average joe at least) yet retain a melody that one can enjoy without truly picking it out. Just an example; "Panoramic" by Atticus Ross. 

 

It's heavy on electronics, but it is subdued in a way that you're not thinking about it. Then kicks in some real instruments, reminding you the world has texture.

 

Though don't get me wrong. Mass Effect also has quite a lot of memorable music; though most of which are played in pivotal moments of the game. The rest just leaves me half-empty and in a way reminding me it is a sci-fi game with its traditional sci-fi music.

I think the only time Bioware got mini-games in the ME trilogy right was the Citadel DLC, in both ME1&2 the mini-games were fin for the first couple of times but they quickly became more tedious and repetitive.
