I hope ME4 doesn't require always online. With EA listing games that they won't be supporting a whole bunch of games anymore it makes me wonder how much of a lifespan ME3 has left? I mean ME1 and ME2 can be played without an internet connection but ME3's single player campaign requires it. I really hope that this trend doesn't continue because I don't want to spend 60+ dollars on an over glorified coaster.

Same. I hope at some point a mod or something similar comes out in order to keep ME3 functional. These online requirements are a real bummer.

It also comes across as "You don't own the game anymore, your rent it and then we can take it away when we want."

You can play ME3 without being online. Also: off-topic :P

A question for the bioware employees on the forums or maybe two.

1. What is your favorite RPG that isn't a bioware title?

2. What kind of leveling system will ME4 have? Just like the previous entries or more like a DND style system?

/\This probably won't get answered.

1. I can't pick just one, but I loved Dragon Quest VIII (need to finish that someday!), really enjoyed Final Fantasy X and XII, and I thought Shadow Hearts: Covenant did a lot of cool things. I finished Ni No Kuni recently and had a blast with that, though the crafting system needs some work. I also play quite a bit of the browser game Fallen London, which is basically an RPG.

2. Can't answer, alas. :(

Does KoTOR 2 count as a non-Bioware RPG? If so, I'm surprised no one has mentioned it. hahaha

No official hints about E3. But some of us are hopeful.

Ajensis you must be a console player because if my internet goes out I can't play half the games I own, ME3 included. Also it's not off-topic if I want to ask a question as a fan and a customer. I want to know if I'm going to be able to play the game years down the road or if it's going to wind up in cybernetic oblivion.

No, I'm a PC player too. I'm not gonna spend a lot of time defending Origin since I (also?) dislike this particular piece of software, but saying that you cannot access your games when finding yourself without internet is not true - that's what Origin's offline mode is for.

And yes, it's off-topic; this thread is for sharing tweets pertaining to Mass Effect, not a place intended for asking consumer questions to Bioware.

I'll refrain from taking this off-topic discussion further here, but feel free to PM me if you're still in disagreement :)

ME3 never has required an internet connection and never will. All you need to do is authenticate your game and DLCs when you first install them. After that, you can play offline as much as you like

Ahhh, KOTOR 2. I love the first level: I had so much fun running around Peragus figuring out the mystery of what happened there. And having Atton Rand around to snark didn't hurt.

Don't forget Kreia. Oh man she is one of my favorite characters from video games in general because of how well she was written and voice acted.

Next protagonist must be a mac daddy like Mass effect 2's Shepard romancing Miranda , Jack and Tali all in the same playthrough #bigpimpin snickering.gif

KOTOR 2 was something unexpected, but welcome. It was obviously different in terms of themes and characters. If KOTOR 1 was your ''classic hero saves the day'' story, KOTOR 2 was a dark ''trying to find your place story''. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it's a direction I'd like the Next Mass Effect to explore. Imagine a Peragus style mission to start the game, starting everyone from novice to hardcore fans in a brand new place with brand new mysteries to solve. I think it would be the perfect style sequel to the Mass Effect trilogy.

I played KOTOR2 lost of times, quite liked though it would have been much better if it was given more time.

In my opinion, Sheploo looks a lot better suited for Dragon Age armour.
