Indeed. May 2015 seems highly unlikely to me, for reasons I've previously explained. Even if were announced as such, I doubt it'd happen. Fall '15 seems like a good bet. Winter/Spring '16 would not surprise me.

Winter '16? I don't think they'd leave almost 5 years between releases... I think we're probably going to see a mid to late-2015 release.

 

edit: unless you mean Winter '16 as in the early months. Maybe then, but that's pushing it.

If it was say March 2016 (late winter/early spring) that would make it 4 years since Mass Effect 3 came out.

Yep, hence the edit. I thought he meant October/Novemeber/December 2016. 4 years is still a long time anyway.

Do those games really count? I mean... We all know there'll be FIFA 15,16, 17 (..) ∞.

Yeah, I think they count. When the executives were talking about the six games it was in the context of a financial statement, and I guess the idea is to be specific about which projects are planned for which launch dates (because that effects quarterly earnings, etc). 

 

It's why I think the six games would include stuff like FIFA and maybe Madden, but not Mirror's Edge or Star Wars: Battlefront - because those two games have already been revealed.

It seems weird to announce six new games with four (maybe five) of them being sports games, though. 

 

Plus I think they've announced NBA Live 2015 already.

Madden NFL 15 has a trailer already and EA has released NHL 15 screenshots. Thus, I don't believe they are a part of the 6.

Need For Speed Underground 3 would be great, one of the few racing games which I truly loved.

On topic: I do think they are going to release something about Mass Effect 4. In fact I would be surprised if they didn't. (I have no facts to support this, it is just my hunch.) The question for me is more: what are we going to see?
