Haha, didn't mean to imply it's at Microsoft, just that such a scenario makes sense to me. I'm confident it'll be announced at E3, and if I were Microsoft I'd want to ensure platform association for this franchise, especially since it worked in their favour for the 360 generation. I don't doubt Mass Effect 4 will be Xbone/PS4/PC, but it would be in Microsoft's interest to try and get some stage time and Kinect goodies tied in so when the first Mass Effect 4 news breaks websites are reporting "at Microsoft's conference on Xbox One" alongside it.

Aaryn is the General Manager of both Edmonton and Montreal, and was present last year on stage and in interviews to discuss Inquisition. His presence doesn't mean much other than "BioWare stuff will be there", and given Inquisition at the very least is guaranteed to have a huge presence it makes sense that he's there. Wouldn't read into that.

 

Casey is more curious. On one hand his involvement in Inquisition doesn't seem significant and he hasn't been a face of the project, so he may be there to discuss Mass Effect 4 and/or his new project. On the other hand he's a prominent, recognisable figure at BioWare who has probably travelled with the company to every E3 regardless of what they were showing/announcing to support the teams.

So, I think we can say, in a more certain manner (75% chance), that we will get something at E3 concerning ME Next. Here's what we have:

 

- Rumors circulating from second hand twitter sources concerning a title and trailer for ME Next to be present at E3

 

- Aaryn Flynn tweeting to stay tuned for something concerning ME Next

 

- Casey Hudson going to E3 along with Aaryn. He is the father of the ME Universe and if he's there, well, we've heard nothing about the new IP, so that leaves 1 option....

 

- They have an impatient horde of Mass Effect fans that grow more depressed with each passing day without info 

 

So, in other words, all aboard the hype train!

If there is a trailer at E3 I hope they don't give a release date, with all the delay's happening recently, they should only give us one if they are 100% sure they can release it on that day.

Rest assured, they will not announce a release date during the initial announcement of the game itself.

The most we're likely to get in terms of a release date is the year and season, and that's pushing it depending on how far they are along.
