How do you define playable? There are tweets from a while back saying that MEN had a basic playable build at Christmas last year. Obviously nothing close to a final product, but something you could get into with a controller. I wouldn't be too shocked if we got a just a tad of in game footage in the trailer. Maybe shot from a world and/or some characters.

Inquisition has never had a spotlight appearance at E3. This is something a lot of people overlook given how much we've seen and what we know. Gameplay footage has been predominantly off-screen captures post E3 2013, the rest learned through magazine previews, BioWare developer videos, trailers, and screenshots. The most E3 exposure Inquisition has had is a 1:44 video giving an oh-so-brief overview of the premise and teasing a few characters. This'll be the first E3 blow out of gameplay and other goodies, and for a game due by the end of the year that naturally warrants the most attention.

Mass Effect: Whatever might not be present in playable form. In fact, I suspect it won't be. Hell, whatever shown might not exceed the aforementioned Inquisition trailer: simply an announcement, set up for the series direction, and in-engine visual showcase. In addition BioWare may be reluctant to talk about specifics, content with simply making the game's presence known and then drip feeding details and footage through to next year's event. It may even have less of a presence than Inquisition last year if that's how BioWare wish to roll.

I'm firmly in the "Mass Effect: Whatever will be announced/revealed at E3 2014" camp. Grapevine discussion, twitter teasing, developer cheekiness, and logic/time suggest it's borderline guaranteed. It'll be there, I'm sure of it. But I'm also keeping my expectations in check. No matter how realistic its presence is, capacity is unknown, and there is absolutely no guarantee or even reason to believe such capacity will be significant. Battlefront, Mirror's Edge 2, Inquisition, and so on were teased/announced last year with short trailers, the promise of meaty details coming in the future. My gut says that'll be Mass Effect: Whatever this year. Rejoice at announcement and reveal, yet many questions remaining unanswered, and many mysterious that'll take months to resolve.

This is not the year of Mass Effect. Not yet.

Well said. We might as well keep our expectations low anyway - then we can't be disappointed. I'd love to see a bit of gameplay though!

EC, you say a lot of things I think. Regardless of what you do or do not know, we have spot-on wavelengths.

*If* the release window is late next year, then ME: Dentist being shown off tomorrow is repeating what they did for Inquisition - a teaser or trailer one year, then a full information extravaganza at the E3 before launch.

Playable as in a build available to the public playable, something E3 usually provides. Inquisition hasn't been playable at any public event, as far as I'm aware. It should be this year, as a first. It was shown last year, but there was no playable build for press, even if such a build existed internally.

Cheers brus. EDIT: I don't really "know" much, as I think knowledge is only true if it comes from the source, which it hasn't. Just heard some things, that I do believe, and have me extremely excited for the series future. Don't feel it's respectful to the devs to poop over their plans here, and like many I'm too waiting to see what the truth is and what the game is really all about.

Agreed 100%.

WTF... Yanick doing a rehearsal for E3? Like, is he himself rehearsing or just watching? If the former was the case, it would certainly raise my heart rate...

Cool piece of fan art (don't freak out yet) that someone had posted but has taken off. Check image 26 : http://www.corriere....4bdbf132d.shtml

The rest of the pictures show the different games that will be at E3 and seem legit, to me at least.

My Italian is rusty but Google tells me the headline says "154 most anticipated E3 games", not that those games will be there...

My mistake then. Just saw the pics and assumed. At least we'll hopefully have some solid stuff tomorrow.

Don't trust Google, it's drunk again:

It mistook "I" for "1", the headline says "The 54 most anticipated E3 Games".

Ah, that was my mistake then :P I only put the end into Google, and obviously confused the I for a 1.

Well, Casey is still the Executive Producer for ME:N and an experienced presenter. Wouldn't be surprised if Yanick won't be on stage.

My bet for Bioware's game plan?

- Aaryn Flynn walks on to show off a DAI demo, maybe another trailer too

- Says that they will move onto ME

- Casey Hudson comes on stage and announces next-gen remasters of the original trilogy, maybe along with a trailer

- Casey Hudson says that they have one last surprise

- Yanick Roy comes on stage to speak a little about this mysterious project

- Mass Effect (???) teaser trailer

- Mic dropped

Well, it seems IGN has put the next Mass effect onto it's list of games we'll see at E3. They aren't perfect, but then again, they probably know a bit more then we do.

It's on the list but not confirmed. Ditto the Visceral-helmed Star Wars project as well as a few other things that may well be simple guesswork. Aye, they know more than us, but that list doesn't mean confirmation unless there's an asterisk. And beyond that, it also contains at least one glaring flaw: Attack Squadrons was cancelled.

They probably saw all the hype here and are following it without any confirmation from oficial sources... :D
